Heavenly Father –

As the 50th anniversary of the first man to walk on the moon--July 20, 1969—is coming, recall Neil Armstrong’s words: That one small step for [a] man; one giant leap for mankind.

But also the words of Buzz Aldrin:

Most of all, may we remember and fear You, Lord, the One who made the moon, the sun, the stars the heaven. Your handiwork in the heaven is incomprehensible. Our place so tiny, so brief, in the greatness of the universe. Yet we are in Your thoughts. And You knew us before we were ever born.

And after the great achievement of sending a man to the moon, we have failed to that giant leap for mankind. We are ever more deluded, confused, and shamed from using the word—MAN—in our Orwellian world of newspeak. Sin has separated us from the heavenlies. And there is no good in us. Without You, we are nothing.

But You, Lord, have bared Your holy arm to redeem us. And call us Your own. And lifted us up to dwell with You in the heavenlies.

May the Spirit from the heavenlies fill and empower President Trump and Vice President Pence. Grant them divine discernment, strength, and courage in these evil times of confusion.

May Your people be given a heart of repentance and seek Your face. May revival change our lives and bring healing on earth.

And if it be Your will, may America reach for the heavens, physically and spiritually, and become great because our people put their trust in You.
