You can’t argue with God; that’s a losing battle if there ever was. He’s perfect and we’re not. We don’t even know what perfect is.

He made ‘em, He can take ‘em out. No controversy here.

The wicked natural person loves to judge God.

That same wicked natural person can’t even keep their own moral code perfectly for one damn day.

There were fewer people then, and Nephilim and such were running rampant. He had good reason to destroy whole people, as they were defiled. There has since been a new covenant.

“In addition to divination, witchcraft, and female and male temple sex, Canaanite idolatry encompassed a host of morally disgusting practices that mimicked the sexually perverse conduct of their Canaanite fertility gods: adultery, homosexuality, transvestitism, pederasty (men sexually abusing boys), sex with all sorts of beasts,[10] and incest. “

Sounds familiar.

Can’t help but think had the Hebrews followed orders the Middle East would not be the mess it is today.

Destroying opposing cultures has been the way of human existence since way before the written word.

Struggled with this one most of my life... until I found a video by Chuck Missler entitled “Return of the Nephillum”.

Highly recommend doing research on this topic... Sounds totally insane, and is hard to believe at first, but the evidence for it in the bible is very clear.

In a nutshell, God instructed genocide because these tribes were simply not human. They were human/angelic hybrids... and represented a serious threat to the human genome. It’s why God brought the flood in Noah’s time... because Noah’s family was the only ones left that had not been corrupted by the blood of fallen angels.

Some of these hybrids did survive the flood somehow, and there is debate about how that was possible. (some suggest the wives that were taken by Noah’s sons)

Anyway, these hybrids re-started their incursion after the flood, and it explains why the the Jews had to face “Giants” in the land that God had led them to.

The real interesting part of this is... that Jesus said “As in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the last days.”

See... even though God told the Jews to completely wipe out these hybrid races, they did not do it... and so we can expect to see these super-human types again, right before Jesus returns.

The book of Enoch (which Jesus quoted from) gives a lot more detail about the History of this, and after you look into it with an objective mind, you may understand why this kind of information has been suppressed through the ages.

Might not have been totally about destroying their religion.

There was some nefarious genetic tampering going on back in Genesis, that took a global ELE to correct.

These acts of "genocide" were just smaller targeted strikes.

“For those with faith no proof is necessary. For those without faith no proof is sufficient.” - St. Thomas Aquinas

The atheist will claim that people of faith begin with a conclusion and then form an argument to support it. They will then pose difficult questions that they struggle with:

We are told that love is the “unconditional want of good for another, so why does God put conditions on us?

If God cannot stop or prevent suffering, is he really all powerful?

If He can prevent suffering but chooses not to, is He really all good?

So it begs the question; is God merely capricious and indifferent, or is He nonexistent? For the atheist there are no sufficient answers.

Sorry but a literal interpretation of the bible is problematic. Then again a relative interpretation is as well. Simply put you can justify or condemn any belief or behavior with selective passages from the bible.

From a secular perspective, the athiests fail to recognize the unique and enduring civilizing and cultural effect the bible has wrought. Try to consider what it must have been like for essentially nomadic, landless Hebrew tribes confronting chronic starvation, poverty and powerful established, hostile peoples. Throughout history such groups usually disappear. Yet the harsh dictates of the bible gave them an identity and purpose from which a distinct purposed, enduring civilization evolved. At the core of Judeo-Christian civilization, which has created the modern world is the bible. Like it or not, the atheists must admit that the modern world would not exist if it had not been written or ignored.

HIS ways are beyond our reasoning. HE makes no mistakes.

He Saved 8 from a world that some calculate to have had nearly the population of the world today when he wiped the world clean in a flood.

He is the Creator of ALL, the Judge of ALL.

Atheists read the account of Canaan’s conquest and sniff with moral indignation at the suggestion a holy God could be within His rights to destroy the Canaanite people along with their culture. :

Based on what moral code? Where did that come from then?

“Could this command really come from the God of all grace and mercy, the same God who, in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, “became flesh, and dwelt among us…full of grace and truth” (Jn. 1:14)?

This is the God who sent the Noahic Flood, and only spared 8 souls alive. When the post flood nations became corrupt AGAIN, He ordered the Jews to clean house.

May I also mention that the Lord Jesus warned more about Hell for those who reject Salvation, than He talked about grace and peace. Actually, the only way to have real grace, peace and eternal assurance is to surrender one’s will to Him and have His indwelling Presence always abiding in us.

People like Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, and Daniel Dennett have argued, broadly, that reason is on their side, science is on their side, and morality is on their side.

So that's why they're always insulting and scolding wiccans and "indigenous pipples!" Oh . . . wait.

Why can't people simply accept that G-d decides what is right and what is wrong, and nothing and no one else does?
