"Galileo was tried and convicted of “heresy” by the Inquisition ..."

Your ignorance is showing and shining the Wikipedia (one of the premier sites for lies about all things Catholic and Christian) spotlight on it suggests it may not be just ignorance.

Good thing he walks everywhere and uses candles to light the Vatican. Oh, wait, candles give off heat and smoke so no candles for Franky.

Prince Harry and ME-ghan got in trouble last week for jetting around in private planes preaching to the little people about climate change.

On Wednesday, the Pope sets out on the 31st apostolic journey of his pontificate outside Italy, which will take him to Mozambique, Madagascar and Mauritius.

In regards to evidence:

“We were alarmed to discover,” their letter notes, “that, during the third year of the first term of the Obama administration your previous opponent, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other government officials with whom she associated proposed a Catholic ‘revolution’ in which the final demise of what was left of the Catholic Church in America would be realized.”

“The letter includes footnote links that take the reader to documents and news stories underscoring their charges and pointed questions. It first directs attention to the Soros-Clinton-Podesta e-mails disclosed last year by WikiLeaks, in which Podesta and other “progressives” discussed ending the “middle ages dictatorship” in the Catholic Church.”

Should we just ignore the Wikileaks emails as evidence?

I mean it’s not like Podesta and Clinton, and their gang are going to come right out and say “Golly gee, you caught us, yes we organized a coup against that “middle age Catholic Church, so what?”

And in the same sentence they will tell us they had no part to play in the coup against President Trump and in fact there was never a coup in the first place and unless you’re a conspiracy theorist you can find no evidence of any such coup.

If we’re waiting for evidence, we might as well prepare to wait for the Lord’s second coming. But wait, there’s no evidence of that either.

“The alarmist tone of the pontiff’s message does not sit well with everyone. Some fear that Pope Francis’ blessing of the worldwide environmentalist movement emboldens those who want to reduce the human population.”

If the Pope wants to reduce the population all he needs to do is utter one sentence: “Catholics are now free to use birth control.”

It is not enough to prove conspiracy in my opinion. But it is evidence, no doubt.

Worship the creation not the Creator!
The pope has no faith in the Lord!

Proof should come out in the declas exposing all manner of crimes, not just involving the Catholic Church. But it’s clear there are devils inside the Church and I believe they will be exposed.

There will be an avalanche of evidence but it is the connecting of the facts that with motive, opportunity, intent, and a test under trial that will tie the proof down.

JPII was a huge thorn in the side of the ringleaders that seek to dominate the global affairs of everything we experience including a massive reduction in human population.

That the assassination of JPII failed is a miracle. The only sure way for the ringleaders to rid themselves of the power of the Church was through a direct coup. But they needed to carefully select a successor. The opportunity arose, and we see the result today.

I supported Pope Francis early on but over time I found I can no longer look at him. I will not call for his removal’ I’ll just wait for The Lord to act.

The great Catholic Church will survive. There is too much good in it for it to ever be destroyed.

Fair is fair. If Man Made Global Warming does not happen within the next decade, the pope should be asked to make his own sacrifice:

Pope Francis, do you renounce sin, so as to live in the freedom of the children of God?

Pope Francis, do you renounce the lure of evil, so that sin may have no mastery over you?

Pope Francis, do you renounce socialism, the philosophy and prince of sin?

No, he got in trouble for persisting in teaching an unproven theory as a scientific fact -- a big no no at the time.

Who was the Church to judge this man?

House arrest in a luxury apartment where he was free to continue his studies.

The man was in fear for his life from the Church. He was threatened and you have no idea how luxurious this apartment is no more than I am. Over the centuries apologists revise things to make the Church look good, but this was a total injustice to a great man of science.

Who was the Church to judge this man?

The Church promoted scientific inquiry, and was the only universal authority capable at the time of regulating what could be taught as truth; a man was not allowed to state opinion as fact. A fact had to be proven. Scientific discoveries were embraced by the Church only after they were proven. Not at all like the Church of Global Warming

This may seem strange to us today, but the system in place was quite progressive for its time and worked rather well. Judging people from the past by the standards of today is called "presentism", and animosity towards the Church revels in presentism. You see presentism engaged in all the time. It is a valuable tool which which to club one's present day adversaries. Take those evil slave-owning Founding Fathers for instance.

No, Galileo was never in danger for his life; he had many patrons in the Church who would never allow such a thing. We know this from history, just as we know what his living conditions were. These are facts, separate from anger and animosity. We can look them up.

Pope Francis is not the least bit stupid. He is an extremely intelligent, capable and clever man.

He is also not the least bit misguided. He knows exactly what he is doing and why.

He may be the most dangerous and destructive man on the planet

Respectfully, the Pope should ask himself how much of the world’s excess— in terms of greed, gluttony, competition and ostentatious consumption—is directly attributable to the lack of God in people’s lives. Were people grounded in the gospel with humility, charity and commitment to time-honored values, then much of the world’s wastefulness would cease on its own without government coercion.
