“Folks had better wake up!”

As long a Catholics willingly retain the right to make themselves ‘good’ in the eyes of the Lord using man made traditions they will never be able to bring themselves to accept that there is only ONE way to the Father: Through the Blood of the Son.
Disclaimer: I was raised Catholic. Though there was always an emptiness, it wasn’t until I learned the truth of the gift of Salvation. Without acknowledging that only the Blood of Christ would free me from eternal damnation there would still be no peace in my soul.
Got to admit it was such a hard walk to that decision/acceptance of my own sinfulness.
Shortly afterward, Satan came after me out of the blue. Amazingly, I survived. Not without blemish in what the world considers important: Much healthier in my soul, which is the most important part!
Amen Bro to all you said!
I was raised Roman Catholic also and had that exact same emptiness you describe until a wonderful servant of The Lord broke the harsh truth to me about my status as a sinner and True Salvation.
First reaction was anger, then frustration, then finally acceptance - I mean how can you argue with the Word of God? (Romans 3:23-24 & Romans 10:9-10).
Like your walk, mine has been riddled with land mines, bullets, and shrapnel wounds galore all over. Jesus is going to carry me over the finish line - I know He will.
There’s still work to be done!
Same here bro. There are a number of us ex Catholics. I remember feeling the same emptiness that you did. No more though, and its wonderful to have assurance of salvation. This pope is evil. 👎
Praise God brother, thanks for sharing!
Glory and thanks be to God!
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. (Psalms 40:2-3)
[Shortly afterward, Satan came after me out of the blue.]
That’s his M.O. Been through it a few times. It’s astonishing how it comes out of the blue.
