Student government refuses to condemn
Last Thursday, an unauthorized sign with the words, “There is Queer Blood on Homophobic Hands,” was placed outside DeBartolo Hall and widely shared accross social media. The sign contained many articles from the Irish Rover and the Observer which reflect Catholic doctrine regarding human sexuality, implying that the authors of these were responsible for the deaths of “queer” people nationwide.
Most shockingly, the sign’s message was painted in blood red, and the names of the articles’ writers were all circled in blood-red paint, drawing hostile attention to individual members of the Notre Dame community. Among the names circled in red paint were those of current students, faculty, and alumni of the University.
The inflammatory sign was placed anonymously, and no one has yet to claim responsibility for it. Student government’s Director of Gender Relations, senior Anne Jarrett, publicly shared her support for the sign—or at least disappointment that it was taken down—tweeting that she swore at “someone [who] pushed down the anti homophobia art display.”
According to the student government website, the department which Jarrett leads “works to foster a healthy environment of communication and dialogue.” This description raises questions about whether this kind of accusatory display, which had palpably violent undertones, is what the student government sees as part of a healthy campus dialogue.

I am always amazed when I read about these people that claim that the US is such a racist homophobe place that has a violent culture of oppression.
Where is the evidence of this violent culture?

They have a higher than average suicide rate, and liberals blame general society, not the pre-existing mental disorder.
They also blame general society for transgenders having a 40% chance of suicide and suicide attempts ... though they’re just as likely to do so if they “transition” or don’t, in “transphobic countries” or not. Real reason - most have already diagnosed co-morbid disorders like OCD, severe anxiety and such that are NOT treated. The emphasis is on the sexual revolution.
This, like the Down’s Syndrome drag show and putting OCD/autistic/anxious Greta Thunberg on stage as the voice of the Mother Earth worship shows liberals routinely harness the mentally ill to attack everyone else. They intentionally weaponize compassion, hiding behind their literally deluded human shields, calling you an evil meanie if you won’t give in to their demands shouted by the nut.

Well it’s not as if it was at a Catholic university.
The old ‘Your judgmentalism drove them to suicide’ logic.
I have to search pretty hard in day to day life to find any mention of Catholic doctrine of any kind let alone the prohibition of homosexuality.
About the only place I see it is in its condemnation in the news by pro LBGT activist.
So, I don’t see how Catholic Conservatives can be blamed for the homosexual suicide rate.
