Yes sad indeed. I was very much hoping there would be some exaggeration, like Missio isn’t really an official organization, or that the pagan prayer was printed for information, not in the same weird and distinctive font as the prayer to the Trinity. But nope, nope and nope.

By the way, I think this article does a better job of covering the fiasco and putting it into the larger context:

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/italian-bishops-mission-org-publishes-prayer-to-pachamama-in-official-booklet

Italian bishops’ mission org publishes ‘prayer to Pachamama’ in official booklet

Excerpt:

” It was published before the opening of the synod. The presence of the Pachamama” in an official publication of the Italian bishops’ mission agency suggests that both the group comprising indigenous natives of the Amazon region and their European-type accompaniers and the Catholic hierarchy in Rome were fully aware of the “Mother Earth”–type cult with syncretic Christian overtones that repeated itself in the Vatican gardens and the church of Santa Maria in Traspontina near Saint Peter’s Basilica and at an “Amazonian” Via Crucis.

This sheds a whole new light on the presence of the carved wooden images of naked pregnant women whom Pope Francis himself designated as “Pachamama” statuettes.

Thanks for doing the research on this stinking mess.

Where are the "Roman" Catholics? By which I mean, the Catholics of the City of Rome, as well as the Catholics of the West of orthodox belief?

There should be squads of Chrisifideles Laici standing guard at the churches of Rome, ready to detect any recrudescence of this abomination (recrudescence: good word, eh? With the accent on the crud) --- burn the offending objects, and power-wash the place down with holy water.

Not kidding. Not kidding at all.
