Pope Decries that “Greed of a Few” Worsens Poverty of Others

VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis on Sunday decried that the “greed of a few” wealthy people is compounding the plight of the poor before sharing a meal with the jobless and the homeless that has become a tradition of his papacy.

Celebrating a Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica dedicated to heightening awareness about poor people worldwide, Francis lamented the lack of concern about growing income gaps between the haves and have-nots.

“We go our way in haste, without worrying that gaps are increasing, that the greed of a few is adding to the poverty of many others,” Francis said in his homily, with poor people among those accorded seats in the basilica for the Mass.

Francis later invited hundreds of needy, including migrants, to dine with him in a Vatican hall.

Addressing the public in St. Peter’s Square following the end of the service, Francis said such initiatives pay witness to “the attention that must never be lacking toward these brothers and sisters of ours.”

He expressed dismay over the ‘’indifference of society toward poor people.”

Like the saint who inspired his choice of name, Francis of Assisi, the pope has made paying attention to those living on society’s margins a priority of his work.

That focus can appear jarring to some prelates in a church that invests in multi-million dollar real estate, possesses priceless artworks and conducts its liturgical services often amid splendor, such as in the magnificence of St. Peter’s, other basilicas and cathedrals.

Why don’t we stone them Pope ourselves instead of contracting this out to the Government? We can take all their stuff for the Church.

This is an ongoing choice.

How much to give away verses how much “seed corn” money to create more money to give away later.

Sitting on the wealth of the ages, behind the tallest wall on the planet. All the while, lecturing us on the evils of excess wealth and tall walls.

Francis echoing the song of the Marxist Left: anything having to do with an individual’s God-given, healthy, life-giving, and wealth-creating self-interest is called “greed.”

The same idiots and fascist totalitarians NEVER apply greed to government even though government is the EPITOME of greed.

The free market OFFERS you something you VOLUNTARILY pay for. The free market runs on healthy SELF INTEREST. (Notice the Lying Left NEVER talks about natural and healthy self interest.) The Lying Left, as portrayed in books like “1984” and “Brave New World”, misuses words to confuse the gullible and unwary. In this case, the Lying Left which HATES freedom and the free market, replaces the positive, uplifting word “self interest” with the negative, accusing word “greed”.

But who is REALLY the KING OF GREED???? Government. Government FORCES you to pay and they DON’T have to give back anything in return. Government is ALL ABOUT lust for YOUR MONEY. GREED all the way.

How I loathe and despise the Delusional Lying left. Unfortunately Francis is all in.

Straight up lie. It is called the zero sum fallacy

The Zero-Sum Fallacy. In game theory, ‘zero-sum’ describes a game where one player’s gain is a loss to other players; and the total amount of the available money or playing chips is fixed. ... In economics, this is known as the ‘lump of labour fallacy’ or more generally as the ‘zero sum fallacy’.

Pope Francis on Sunday decried that the “greed of a few” wealthy people is compounding the plight of the poor.....

....But the facts remain there is huge inequity between the Catholic Church’s wealth and their response to the 'plights of the poor"...... There is no doubt that between the church’s priceless art, land, gold and investments across the globe, it is one of the wealthiest institutions on Earth.. with holdings in such industries as banking, insurance, chemicals, steel, construction and real estate.

Since I was raised Catholic, I could never understand why the Pope was not respected in some Christian churches.

Now I understand.

This guy is a POS.

Me too, DaCoyote.

I cannot be part of it any more—in fact, not since they quit the Latin mass, but this pope is in another, higher class of idiot.

1) “Saint” John Paul failed to root out the corruption and debauchery in the Church and lost millions to evangelical Protestantism in Latin America.

2) Benedict was alright but had a tin ear and cement tongue when it came to the public

3) Frankie is a workaholic at destroying his Church

Evidently the Dope is unaware that EVERYTHING he wants to “redistribute” is produced by capitalism.

Not one single thing is produced by virtue-signalling.

Exactly how many African invaders do you have living at the Vatican? Is it an open door policy? Gosh, why not?
