Jorge Bergoglio is not so much the pope of the common man as a friend to the globally powerful. He disdains the most devout members of his faith, labeling them “rigid,” while rolling out the red carpet for thugs and pagan celebrities. Not a week passes without the pope meeting and greeting some enemy of the faith.
The media, for the most part, continues to serve as his PR agents. Witness its burbling over The Two Popes, a movie as fictional as its news coverage. It might as well have been called “The Reactionary and The Reformer.”
But what exactly has Pope Francis reformed? Not the Vatican, which remains a font of scandal. Its finances look as corrupt as ever. Last year was a horror show of bad loans, bad investments, and mismanaged charities. Meanwhile, the pope’s cronies keep getting ensnared in this or that squalid affair.
Instead of uprooting the creepy ecclesiastical culture that produced the rapist Theodore McCarrick, Pope Francis has reinforced it, throwing plums to many of McCarrick’s “nephews,” such as Kevin Farrell, whom Francis has selected to serve as camerlengo at the next papal conclave.

I literally just finished watching The Two Popes movie on Netflix. Very well acted, very interesting. He’s a POS.

Ebb, what are Catholics going to do when this False Prophet takes the RCC straight into the New World Order, the one world government? Will the members follow? Or will they revolt and leave the RCC? You KNOW that’s where he is leading your church. Daily, with every move he makes, he’s leading the RCC to a One World Socialist Society. With the Anti-Christ leading politically and the False Prophet leading religion. Straight into the arms and control of the AC.
Have you seen the HBO series “The Young Pope”?
I would be very happy with the kind of Pope portrayed in that series.

No I have not seen that yet but it’s on my watchlist. Jude law, correct? Nice to know you recommend it.
This is not on popes but I just have to mention I also just finished Netflix The Last Tzars which is a limited series. Only 6 episodes. Extremely well done and now I definitely need to read more about it. It is a docu-drama. Historians comment throughout and there is a lot of fascinating and heart wrenching original footage. The acting is extremely good. Catch it if you can.
Ok, I know I digressed but worth it if y’all have a chance to watch.

This Pope sucks.
It’s very sad. I grew up under John Paul II and was NOT a Catholic and admired the man (along with Reagan and Thatcher politically). The trio shaped my philosophy. I later became Catholic and now I don’t know what this Pope is let alone so many in government(s).

Nasty, evil man. I originally just thought he was an anti-pope (that is, a pope elected while there’s another one holding that office, since everything about his “election” was wrong). But now I’m thinking full AntiChrist.
The only good thing is that a lot of Catholics are suddenly getting the Vatican out of their heads and realizing there’s a difference between the Faith and the medieval papal state of the Vatican and its antiquated dictator and apparatchiks. Those were the things, oddly enough, that Vatican II solidified and promoted, completely abandoning the Faith and making the Vatican and the Pope the focus of it all.
I think Bergoglio is the full flowering of this and people are just starting to realize it. Or are being forced to admit it.
