Female Bishop to Be Ordained in Catholic Church

Female Bishop to Be Ordained in Catholic Church

Susan Bunton Haynes will be instituted as the 11th lay-bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia.

The event will be held on February 1 in St Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg. It will be performed by Michael Curry, the Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church.

Contradicting the bible, the declining Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia “blesses” homosex pseudo-marriages and promotes homosex ideology.

St Bede belongs to Richmond Diocese. It looks like a Protestant church with an organ in lieu of the high altar.

For January 17, the parish invites “all fathers and father figures” to the 7th Annual Father-Daughter Dance.

Michael Bruce Curry is an American bishop who is the 27th and current presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church. Elected in 2015, he is the first African American to serve as presiding bishop in The Episcopal Church. He was previously bishop of the Diocese of North Carolina

Just everyone stop. It is fake news fake headline

The Catholic Church is simply not a democratic institution and will never have women clergy without being heretical, this acting outside of the Catholic Church

There is nothing fake or misleading about the headline.

The invalid consecration is taking place in a Roman Catholic church.

Yeah, St. Bede is a Catholic Church. But why is an Episcopalian consecration taking place there?

The Episcopal “Church” is about as socially and spiritually relevant as the buggy and covered wagon...

from the article:" The event will be held on February 1 in St Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg.
It will be performed by Michael Curry, the Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church."

It may be held in a Catholic church,.. but it is no more Roman Catholic
than the pregnant pagan idol in the Vatican garden.
There was a church in Rochester NY, 'Spiritus Christi', which ordained a female priest,
and a male married priest, but the Vatican excommunicated the priest/ pastor.

The way I read that title, is that a (catholic) female bishop is being ordained into the catholic church. It should have been titled (by its author) Episcopal Woman being ordained in Roman Catholic Facility.

That’s not within the Catholic Church proper. The Catholic pastor and catholic bishop are simply acting outside the Catholic Church by allowing this to take place in a sacred, consecrated ground. They are wrong. But it is not Catholic.

Look for more of this crap as the enemy gets bold within the Church and wimps allow Hersey and sacrelige

That’s all. They think they’re above God.

Oh the horror....an organ!

As if Roman Catholic churches today look like churches of the early ekklesia.

Can someone explain why the Episcopalians can’t have their ceremonies in their own churches?

Looks like the Catholic pastor hosting this at St. Bede is Monsignor Joseph P. Lehman, described as "ecumenically minded", who was assigned there last year by Barry Knestout. Lehman's previous parish, Our Lady of Nazareth, is described in the first link above as follows: "Our Lady of Nazareth parish dates from 1914. For years it was in the building in West End now used as the Roanoke Area Ministries shelter for the homeless. With the relocation to the suburbs more than 40 years ago the new building was designed with a simplicity considered befitting to the contemporary church envisioned by the late Pope John 23rd. Traditionalists hated the contrast to the landmark St. Andrew’s on the city’s northern hill. Gradually, the current Pope Francis has to many brought a sense of moderation; cooperation in ministries to help needy people has become common among Catholics, Protestants and the 'middle way' Anglicans in the Roanoke Valley and elsewhere."
