The Ruht wohl "chorus" really took me by surprise at the close. My thanks to tenor Benedikt Kristjansson.

This is my favourite work of music. It has been for most of my life.
Earlier to day I heard a recording of it by Sir Stephen Cleobury, Academy of Ancient Music, the Choir of King's College Cambridge.
When I was in college, we could check out recordings from the college library. I checked out the St. Matthew Passion something like 25 times in a row. At one point, the librarian said I couldn't check it out again because someone else might want it. The girl I was with said, "Oh I want to check it out." She did. As we left the library she handed it to me.
My wife is a musician. She has advanced degrees in Baroque music. My home has always been filled with music.
Thank you. Viewing now.
The Lord suffered for our offenses. He is the only person who is 100% innocent.
Next The Easter Oratorio.
