Rather embarrassing request.
Maybe 7 years ago, I came across an interesting essay on "the existence of God or the Devil."

It was maybe 6 or 8 pages long, and was fairly learned and erudite, but written in a Screwtape-style fashion ; it was a way of "backing up into" the existence of God, starting with the existence of Evil ; and from there, not arguing against God, but FOR the existence of the Devil (from thence, of course, God Follows, since the Devil rebelled against...God).
The last line of the essay was something like "If evil exists, then Me too."
NOTE : I spent over an hour Goolaging and Duck-Duck-Go-ing, everything was overrun with #MeToo ... of course.
The article was referred to, IIRC, in someplace like National Review or the Cato Institute or maybe even Unz Review; a normally more political/libertarian site, rather than an explicit apologetics site.
And -- very hazy, but I just remembered -- not the reference to the article, but the actual article was from a Law Journal of all things.
Can anyone lend a Fellow FReeper a hand on this one please?
Sounds like something Paul Harvey would have written.

Just about everything PH spoke on was written about in his newspaper column. I know this wasn’t the correct one, but it just sounds a lot like a PH topic.

I guess I show my age when I look at my watch and start to turn on the radio for his broadcast! I would really like his take on the 'never-say-die' Americans now cowering in our cellars! He would be reading us the riot act!

Looks like an interesting essay. You wouldn’t think the Devil would write one with all that time he spends in Hell torturing people, but this wasn’t torture. It was a treat to read. But I don’t know if he knows what he’s talking about. I never heard of the Devil going to college or anything like that. He writes like a smarty pants — trying to impress people like he’s smart and everything. But I don’t think he’s that smart. I think he has an inferiority complex, maybe hates his dad. I bet if you put him on the psychiatric couch he’ll talk about how he hates his Father, like Freud’s Oedipus Complex. Give him some psychiatric sessions and some meds and I’ll bet he’ll be a productive member of society again in no time. Get him way from that Lake of Fire and give him a real job and he’ll be swell. He won’t be trying to brow beat anyone anymore with his fancy talk and saying, “Look at me (forget my ole man)... I’m the smart one in the family!” Yessiree, he’ll go places with a little help. Maybe some Dale Carnegie courses, if he has his mind set on college, or start in the mail room or in sales. The sky is the limit.
