The ONLY way to be born again is through an obedient faith by being baptized.

Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
Romans 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection,
Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin;
Romans 6:7 for he who has died is freed from sin. Romans 6:8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
Romans 6:9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.
Romans 6:10 For the death that He died, He died to sin, once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
Romans 6:11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Though, I would not discount Christ’s own words in John 6 or Matt 25 as well...... Letters to the Romans is good for sure, but Christ’s own words should matter as well...

Baptism does not save you.

Baptism is akin to wearing a wedding ring - a open/public display of your belief. Being baptized by a pries when you’re too young to comprehend what is going on gets you a wet head and a oily spot on your forehead...and parents who think they just saved your soul...

1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 ¶ For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12: 1-3
There is enough faith given to each of us to be saved. We each have times in our life when God draws us to Him for salvation. We make that decision by our free will. Salvation is turning to God with the faith He has given us to believe in His Son, the Messiah, Jesus, dying, buried and rising again. Knowing we cannot stand before God without the washing of His shed blood to take away our sins. From then it is a love affair of our spirit. We
learn to know Him better thru His word. It is a relationship in which He reveals Himself to each of us thru His Word.
