Seriously? The quote from Scripture was to emphasize that the priest is being persecuted for the sake of righteousness. He did the right thing by speaking up. Nowhere did I suggest that he should have capitulated or remained silent.
Yes, seriously. Context...for those who don’t know the’scripture’ surrounding the one you posted. The one you posted doesn’t indicate that anyone ‘spoke’ out, only that ‘Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’ which sounds like we’re suppose to ‘take it’. Thanks but no thanks. I don’t believe God intends for us to be silent or to sit by idly.
