Born the same year as you. The loss of the Latin Mass was devastating to me. It was supposed to change on my exact birthday, but it got pushed back a few weeks. I remember my father telling me that, he knew how upset I was.
I remember reading Bill Buckley’s essay about going to his first English language Mass, and how awful it was (sorry!)
I’m a Presbyterian now. But I still think the Latin Mass should be reinstated. Don’t try to be what you are not.
