Have the Jewish End Times Begun?
BIN ^ | 7/1/2020 | Dan Sofer

The End Times, for many Christians, brings to mind the Rapture, Tribulation, the Second Coming, and Judgement Day. But what do Jewish traditions teach about the End Times? And are those traditions coming true before our eyes?

Jewish beliefs about the End Times are based on the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament, especially the books of Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel, and Malachi) as well as later rabbinic sources in the Talmud and Midrash.

These traditions discuss key events that include:

– The Resurrection of the Dead – The Ingathering of the Exiles (including the “Ten Lost Tribes of Israel”) – The building of a Third Temple in Jerusalem – The reign of the Messiah-King descended from King David The relationship between these events and their timing are unclear, but a number of other factors will play a role.

Elijah the Prophet, the “harbinger of the Messiah,” is to return to anoint the Messiah. The period immediately preceding the Messiah’s return will be a time of great uncertainty and suffering. These “birth pangs of the Messiah” will include social upheavals. A great war will rage between mighty nations as described by Ezekiel in his prophecy of Gog and Magog. (Ezekiel 38) The end result will be a period of world peace (“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb…”—Isaiah 11:6) and, perhaps, eternal life.

You got an Aliyah scheduled yet golux?

The fact that your nation even exists in modern times means the hour is late and closer to midnight than you realize.

Scoff all you want. Even your Rabbi’s believe it.

Generation in the Bible could mean different things. As far as Eschatology goes, it’s years IMHO.

How long is a generation in the Bible?

And the Tel Aviv “Pride Fest” (among many others) and the Israeli left trying to destroy Bibi (He’s no saint I know), shows all I need to know about repentance among Jewish people.

The nations will be judged on how they treated Israel and Jews.
I can’t see a good outcome out of that honestly.

I’ll stick with the Bible that tells the truth, and skip the fiction full of falsehoods.

The End Times, for many Christians, brings to mind the Rapture, Tribulation, the Second Coming, and Judgement Day.

>The sequence you have is the pretrib one, the popular modern view.

For Historic Premillennialists such as myself, it is: the Tribulation, the second coming and rapture, the millennial kingdom, and Judgement Day. Both second coming and rapture taking place after the tribulation. The second coming and rapture ushering in the millennial kingdom.

What I have related is the historic view of the early centuries of Christianity... see this youtube video:

Actually, that is the much more commonly used meaning in the Bible, rather than the other meaning that modern English speakers are almost exclusively familiar with.

It’s always good to check a concordance when you are trying to interpret something ambiguous.

The mark of the Jewish End Times will be when anonymous Christian internet posters dictate to Jews what their 'nation' is,

proudly expound like Talmudic scholars upon the few Jewish ideas they know of (relating everything to the New Testament,)

and rain misplaced apostrophes, like so many locusts, even upon the names of the learned.

Well, if "Yeshuah" is coming, don't let him catch you goofing off on the internet.

By their last words I will know my creepy Christian-Jew FRiends:

Oy Gevald, did I pick the wrong week to quit drinking transubstantiated Manishewitz!

I mute the audio on that video, why do people think they have to include music like that?

There is ample thought that the Messiah will destroy the wicked among Israel, although the hope is that the Messiah will inspire the repentance of the wicked.

You want to know what is sad & pathetic about most modern Jews who think they are authentic?

The fact that most Christians know more about their festivals, history, and religion than they do.

The fact that a small group of modern day Samaritans practice a true Passover according to the Torah than any Jew does in Israel and beyond - their Hebrew is even more authentic than what is currently spoken in Israel.

You guys ignore your own prophecies written by your own prophets. Who can take you seriously?

“remember Revelation chapter 12, and the Great sign in the stars which occurred on Sept 27, 2017”

When you try to interpret the Bible using astrology, you are bound to come to the wrong conclusions. It’s not like the Bible itself didn’t warn you about that.

God says that he put the stars in the heavens as signs for us.

Clearly what Rev 12 describes transpired on Sept 27 2017.

What it means remains unclear.

Don’t forget the evidence that shows the Samaritans kept the original version of some verses from the Torah that the Rabbinists altered.

"The building of a Third Temple in Jerusalem"

Are there any estimates on how long it would take the Jews to build the new Temple?
