Not true for St. Junipero Serra!

From the Novena of St. Junipero Serra:

Novena Fourth Day

Junipero’s missionary career began in the rugged, mountainous Sierra Gorda region north of Mexico City. He spent eight years (1750-1758) among the Pame Indians and served as president of the five-mission chain. He quickly mastered their difficult language, instructed them in Christianity by composing a native catechism, songs and paraliturgical celebrations, and helped them become skilled at various trades.

We are becoming Yugoslavia after Tito.

Tribalism has become rabid in America.

I’m almost shocked that they haven’t come to Biloxi to attack Beauvoir (Jeff Davis’ post-war estate) or to LA and burn down all the old plantation houses folks tour all the time....might be our “culture”, while more polite - can be every bit as ....kinetic...as theirs

This just demonstrates how IGNORANT some folks are.

There were/are no "native American Indians." Those people who came to this continent were ORIENTAL ASIANS. DNA doesn't lie.

They weren't even the FIRST people here. The first people here hunted the mammoth elephants. They dug pits and drove the beast INTO the pits, then killed them.
The remains of men and beasts showed that the men were NOT Oriental Asians but were Caucasians. Their skulls were NOT round, as are the skulls of ALL Oriental Caucasians.
Those remains showed OBLONG skulls, like Europeans or Africans. Anthropologists don't believe that the skulls came from Africa since the distance from there to North America were just too far. They didn't have the vessels to cross oceans.

So the first people here were NOT what we learned in school. DNA doesn't lie. All those "native American tribes" were a MYTH.

Ban Spanish altogether, the conquerors imposed it on native peoples.

There were NO "native peoples." Those people who came to North America came across the arctic bridge from ASIA. They were ORIENTAL ASIANS.

The DNA markers for them were clear. One marker is that ALL ORIENTAL ASIANS have a deficiency in acetyl dehydrogenase, an enzyme to deal with alcohol. THAT is why those misnamed "natives" couldn't handle the "fire water."
They couldn't.
In southern Asia the REAL Indians from India, 100% Caucasian, could and can drink alcohol with no problem since they have no deficiency of acetyl dehydrogenase.

DNA doesn't lie.

We should all just agree that the world would be better off if Europeans had not discovered North America and it had been left to the tender mercies of fratricidal hunter gatherers (leavened by the occasional farmer).

You certainly have your own version of what history SHOULD have been. Since GOD made the decisions I think that His plans should be respected.

Do you HONESTLY think that if the positions had been reversed that history would have played out "nicey-nicey" and we would all be gathering around the campfire singing "Kum-by-ya" all night?

"fratricidal hunter gatherers," as you so caustically describe your ancestors, did what people HAD to do to survive. EVERYONE on the planet in those first eons WERE fratricidal hunter gatherers...even YOUR ancestors.
Get over it.

I sure did. I don't USUALLY.
Now I know what the "p" stands for in your name:
p.sarcasm.
