Appreciate the info.

It remains an internal church problem however, not one taxpayers ought to bail them out for.

Poop on that.... The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT has indeed caused financial harm to the Church's revenue abilities by mandating the restrictions they have...ergo, no closures, no draconian BS Parish income remains normal.... The Church would not have lost revenue to operate and pay the bills if not being forced to close.... The Feds have created the loss....and the a Godless bureaucrats are definitely on the hook for that...

.. Now what IS in question is how complicit the Church leadership is in not challenging these restrictions without any exuberance at all in their need to keep everyone safe.....Thereby qualifying for a righteous amount of reimbursement. Easy money one might say.... Not suggesting this- but it us odd the most vulnerable - seniors- are still allowed to attend Mass... Even though the Seniors are " discouraged" but allowed- they are back at Mass in droves no doubt- it makes one wonder if extended church closures and perpetual crisis of Covid are actually as financially impacting the dioceses' across the USA as we are led to believe.
