What is “church”? Does anyone know ANYTHING about “church”? Is it a building? Is it a group of more or less like-minded persons swearing allegiance to some deity? Is it an amorphous Spirit swirling about the world, and like a whirlwind, drawing souls up into itself, elevating those souls to an exalted state where they might more clearly perceive the perfection of that deity? Or is “church” a mere abstract exercise in sophistry mixed with ideology and preying on superstition and doubt?
Let’s talk this out, Speaker Pelosi. Don’t bring in concepts you yourself are neither comfortable with nor conversant with. Define what you claim to believe in, and show us that you actually PRACTICE those beliefs.
If you are going to put the dialogue out there, then let’s work out a practical resolution. Don’t keep changing the rules and making it up as you go along.
