The Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA or CRC) is a Protestant Christian denomination in the United States and Canada. Having roots in the Dutch Reformed Church of the Netherlands, the Christian Reformed Church was founded by Dutch immigrants in 1857 and is theologically Calvinist.[2]

Tell your children that God can be trusted more than hand-sanitizer.
This Christian Reformed Church (CRC) hyper-Calvinist for most of its history. So much so that the CRC held that only members of the CRC and a few other hyper-Calvinist denominations would go to Heaven and that all others were apostate.
I won’t go into details, but when my ex transferred from Dordt after one year to go to the school I was attending, the student dean told her I was a heretic because I didn’t transfer to that school. This was in 1972.
The CRC really screws up their members, so much so that they support three psychiatric hospitals. My ex was admitted to one of them on three occasions. To my ex’s credit, she has overcome her family or origin issues and is a successful accountant with a big company. We have three great successful adult children, and she deserves much of the credit.
To let you know just how hyper-Calvinist it is/was, the guy who was the head editor of the NIV version of the Bible wrote a book titled “The Five Points of Calvinism”.
One part of it was predestination, which has strong Biblical support. However, the CRC believes in “Double Predestination”. This means that God predetermined before the Creation who would be destined to Heaven and all the others were predestined to Hell and there was nothing a person could do to avoid their predestined fate.
I could go on, but this is enough.
