At a time when much of the rest of the world is starting to wake up to the repression, mendacity, and dangers of the Chinese Communist Party regime, the Vatican is getting even deeper in bed with it. And at a time when that regime is intensifying repression of religion—including Catholics—in China, Pope Francis is renewing an accord with Beijing that has yielded no benefits yet save for President Xi Jinping and only disunity and suffering for the Catholic Church.
Two years ago, the Vatican signed a provisional agreement with Beijing, valid for two years. It had been a long time coming, and I and others tried to warn of the dangers before the deal was done. When it was announced, I expressed concerns—but also tried to give a pope whom I admire the benefit of the doubt.

Francis is the Neville Chamberlain of Christianity. The Chinese are using the agreement to intensify the attacks on Catholics and other Christians. He’s a Chi-com useful idiot.
American Catholics, Protestants and Jews should stop being so naive as to think they are doing something noble by voting Dem.
Charity is not accomplished by the government taking your money in taxes and redistributing it to political voting blocs for their own gain. Devoting “what is not needed” to have it belong to the poor does not mean you have to accept socialism. Supporting Communists means you enable those who have already killed hundreds of millions of people (China,Russia....). That is not kindness.

When it comes to cheating, the Soviets were amateurs compared to the Chinese.
But china is keeping the deal. The payments totaling $2 billion/year are, to the best of my knowledge, still being made by the ccp to bergoglio.
