(John 3:19-21) This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
Heavenly Father, You are our Everything, Master of All, All-Knowing, Ever-Present, and All-Powerful. Please hear our prayers. Please have Mercy on the people of this great nation . . . a nation that You created to evangelize the world . . . but instead has turned away from a God-ordained destiny.
Father God, We are at a most critical time in our nation’s history for we have become a nation that has looked to government for what only You can do. Unfortunately we have current leaders and candidates that unabashedly have shown that they are not willing to seek Your Will for our country with ill-advised citizens following their lead. Lord Jesus, You are our Rock in this weary land of America. You are our Shelter in these stormy times. Seemingly it is a struggle between good and evil. We ask You to shed the Light of Truth on misguided people. We are living in times of uncertainty and chaos. Evil has been unleashed on America with willing participants in leadership roles. You told us that in the last days evil would be touted as good and good will be portrayed as evil.
We pray that truth and justice will prevail in America’s upcoming election . . . showing all that the Light of the World is Jesus. Father, please protect our President from the evil being directed at him and also at others who are standing for righteousness. The media has blocked truth from the American people. Please, Dear God, show a way where there seems to be no way for people to be able to discern the difference between what is evil and what is good for this country. Please open hearts and minds to Your Word, Your Way.
Father God, we pray for a United States of America under Your Submission. Help us use these perilous times of strife, hatred, heartaches, sickness, disease, and disasters to be effective witnesses for Your Kingdom.
Holy Spirit, please revive us again setting churches and individuals on fire to spread the Good News of the Saving Grace of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus!
Have Your Way with Us Dear Jesus.
We pray all these things to You, Heavenly Father, in the Precious Name of Jesus. Amen
