To the leader. A Psalm of David, when the prophet Nathan came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against you, you alone, have I sinned,
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are justified in your sentence
and blameless when you pass judgement.

a sinner when my mother conceived me.

and my tongue will sing aloud of your deliverance.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 For you have no delight in sacrifice;
if I were to give a burnt-offering, you would not be pleased.
17 The sacrifice acceptable to God* is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure;
rebuild the walls of Jerusalem,
19 then you will delight in right sacrifices,
in burnt-offerings and whole burnt-offerings;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.
So true and so hard for me to remember that God's timing is not ours.
So then, we will pursue [with enthusiasm] the things which make for peace and the building up of one another [things which lead to spiritual growth] as we did all day yesterday and will continue to do until President Trump takes his oath of office on January 20. After that, we will stand as watchmen on the wall so that this country will never get to this place again. Teach us how, Sir.
Amen Lord Jesus! Stand ye like men! Do not give in to emotions of defeat. Truly this is a war much greater than what casual prayer can deal with. Awaken your people Lord to fervent effectual prayer once again!

As Christians we must pray through this vicious assault on our nation. For the sake of our children, grandchildren, and the entire world, we MUST prevail in prayer. We were all made for such a time as this. Help us, Lord, to fulfill this purpose of prayer that You assigned to us even before our lives began. Thank You, Lord God.
We come with praise and gratefulness that in the heat of uncertainty and great deception in this historic election there is nothing that your eyes cannot see nor your ears hear...... You are always keenly aware of the sinister wiles of men though they believe they are cleaver... We thank you that you can see and know even the plans of their hearts and minds before they do as they then go about strutting their evil before you. Nothing passes your inspection.
Yet father we are humans with limits to our abilities and understanding but we are willing to grant you use of these to turn the tide of this election where your will and purpose prevails.... We have done what we know do to do in casting our votes for the man of our choosing as we believe you have led us.......but there is an opposing element working there cunning hands in this process...hiding behind closed doors, working in the dark and night hours, manufacturing nefarious means to tip this election. ......So what we ask is ....when the battles are fought, decisions are made and the dust has settled, that YOUR DIVINE WILL prevails for who will lead this nation. ....In and for the Glory of your son's name Jesus we Pray, Amen
