I'm a fan of Bach's choral works all year around - not just at Christmastime - as well as most all of his other works.

There is a channel on YouTube I visit frequently called the "Netherlands Bach Society" that has a large number of Bach performances in stunning audio and video quality. A real top-notch production.

I hope that channel becomes available on Rumble soon so I'll have another reason to leave YouTube for good. Rumble is an alternative to YouTube but they still have a way to go before they can offer anywhere near the sheer amount of content that YouTube has.

Thanks for posting!

I LOVE the Netherlands Bach Society! They use period instruments and a smaller choir to get an absolutely wonderful effect. Some of their tempi are a little different than what I am used to, but I find that I like the interpretation much better. They seem to have a very intimate emotional connection to the music, especially in Cantata 140’s “Zion hoft”, which I found ENCHANTING.

Maestro Lutz is also an awesome interpreter of Bach, and his group in Switzerland does workshops on the spiritual aspects of the Cantatas which I also enjoy.

I wish that Rumble had this kind of content.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who loves this stuff. I guess I’m not such a geek after all! LOL

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
