Stop calling yourself a Christian if you don’t believe in Christ (from the link).

**************************************

No, even Satan believes in Christ.

You ONLY become a Christian when you accept Christ as your savior and are born again.

Nothing new. This “religion” is just another lie by Satan that you can “be good” and work your way into heaven.

FALSANI: What do you believe?

OBAMA: I am a Christian.

So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the Christian faith.

On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences.

I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10.

My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim.

And I’d say, probably, intellectually I’ve drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith.

(A patron stops and says, “Congratulations,” shakes his hand. “Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Thank you.”)

So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there’s an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived.

And so, part of my project in life was probably to spend the first 40 years of my life figuring out what I did believe - I’m 42 now - and it’s not that I had it all completely worked out, but I’m spending a lot of time now trying to apply what I believe and trying to live up to those values.

FALSANI: Have you always been a Christian?

OBAMA: I was raised more by my mother and my mother was Christian.

Deep theological stuff going on here by people who obviously can’t find their butts with both hands.

Check with the members of the Church of England on how this has worked out for them: Then, now and their short future.

How new is it?

Some of the founding fathers were deists or friendly with deism.

In “Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism’s Looming Catastrophe”, Voddie Baucham Jr. suggests modern America has an 11th Commandment: “Be Nice” - and we then reject the first 10!

I think he’s right.

Be nice - even if it means pretending men can get pregnant. Be nice, even if it means ignoring the misery caused by sin. Be nice - as you get to define it - and you can forgive yourself any number of sins!

New? Establishment Jesus has been the go-to fake Jesus since forever.

The Jesus of the Bible is the maverick solution to business, the quintessential enemy of the too-big-to-fail establishment.

Eh, meanwhile the living parable is running like clockwork on Mars, the place where every day is the third day.

The Jesus of the Bible is such a sweet man, overflowing with love, and full of country charm! Absolutely delightful. The ideal man. Accept no substitutes.

People are going to wish they had paid attention to the real story, not the party line.

Religious dogmaland is where everyone is right because everyone else is wrong.

Yet few ever catch on, preferring the business as usual model until Kingdom come.

This is illegal under the Constitution.

Yes, there are some grey areas, but they made no effort or request for help during the Riots.

Let them take their own blame.

The late Francis Schaeffer said that most people in the west are inconsistent Sadist. They believe right is what they want to but wrong is what others do to them.

For starters, God is conservative. What do I mean? He commands us, and all creation, to conserve his everlasting law. Therefore liberals (progressives) cannot go to heaven. Only conservatives. Some conservatives go to heaven because the believe in God’s substitutionary death on the cross for their failure to conserve God’s law.

May the Lord of Hosts POUR OUT HIS WRATH on this filthy, God-hating country. America is such a whore for lies she makes Sodom look like a nun.

I’ve never set foot in a church that teaches such stuff. But I have seen signs outside a couple churches that alarmed me.

An acquaintance of mine, who is a retired professor of church history at a mainline Protestant seminary but is an evangelical himself, felt that the trajectory of liberal Christianity is toward some form of Unitarianism.
