Cardinal Gerhard Müller is ashamed that in Germany, his home country, it's again possible to persecute scientists for offering facts, he told Gosc.pl (August 9) with reference to Father Darisz Oko who was convicted in Germany for uncovering the homosexual mafia in the Church.
Müller recalled the National Socialist General Governor of Poland who sent the entire Krakow professoriate to a concentration camp.
Oko was convicted for a scholarly report on homosexual crimes committed by high ranking clerics. Müller makes it clear that condemning such crimes is "an act of courage that deserves the respect of all decent people."
He explained that "the criminal nature of the actions of these [homosexual] individuals who live in the Church but protect themselves behind the shield of impunity afforded by their office, are leading numerous young men to their doom.”
Simultaneously, the Cardinal observed that thousands of innocent priests are insulted as "paedophiles" every day, yet no court nor paper reacts because such “incitement to violence” against priests is considered "within the framework of freedom of speech." His question, "Have we reached the point again of protecting the guilty and punishing the innocent?”
