St. Teresa of Avila, the intellectual, is the Doctor of the Church.

Her autobiography is also fascinating. She was a mystic.

Therese of Lisieux is the one called the Little Flower.

She died young, and said she would spend her Heaven doing good upon earth.

She is often pictured in her Carmelite habit, holding a bouquet of roses.

It is believed by her devotees that if you pray for her intercession, she will give you a sign that she is working on it by sending you a fresh rose, or a whole bouquet.

My Confirmation name is Theresa, and I have oftentimes received a rose from her.

And now we also have St. Teresa of Calcutta...another great one!
