Governments should proceed with the level of tolerance, which allows Christians to be in a country, but not necessarily of the country in every way. Governments can then use their penchants for elegant writings to describe whatever other unions they want between humans. Just leave stark contrast to exist.

I disagree. Any government that protects and enforces legal infanticide, euthanasia or sodomite unions, is evil. Governments should not tolerate evil.

Leaving the stark contrast to exist means being allowed to be an agitating, contentious force against whatever is proposed. Unfortunately, too often now churches yield to pressures about them and find satisfaction in having the church’s website added to a person’s favorites on Internet Explorer, along with Oprah, Dr. Phil and PBS.

Starting with the most evil, the U.S. govt., as it hides its corruption behind a false ideal of freedom and liberty through a government "by the people".
