The decision by Russian President Vladimir Putin to launch an illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine has dominated global headlines and social media for the last week.
It has also generated a wave of questions about Bible prophecy and the End of Days.
I’m receiving questions from Christian pastors and lay people — and from Jewish rabbis and scholars, as well as journalists — all over the world. While there are many variations, they generally fall into two main categories.
First, are there biblically prophetic implications to this horrible new war in Ukraine and fears throughout Europe that Putin may invade other countries as well?
Second, could this war in Europe trigger the End Times scenario that the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel described as the “War of Gog & Magog” in chapters 38 and 39 of the Book of Ezekiel?

Old and New Testament prophecies that describe future events, particularly events that will occur in what the Bible describes as “the last days,” remain a mystery to many.
Unfortunately, very few pastors or Bible teachers have ever carefully studied these prophecies, much less take the time to explain them to lay people.
Indeed, most pastors tend to ignore End Times prophecies altogether.

How about Britain? The British been at war with nearly every nation in Europe and most of the countries in the world. Germany, which didn't exist as a nation state before 1871, has fought in only two wars.
Yes....because the ten commandments is bad theology. And the ten commandments include the Sabbath which Rome hates. God is so brilliant...using the Sabbath to rebuke both Darwin and the counterfeit.....Rome.
My thought is, Turkey plays a big role in beating Russia with NATO.
Then Erdogan turns on the West and starts rebuilding the Ottoman Empire.
I am an imperfect human who struggles every waking moment to live as Christ has commanded. I pray that God’s capacity to forgive far exceeds my sins and my human frailty. I humble myself before him and and truthfully declare that I am unworthy to receive him but he only needs to say the word and my soul shall be healed.
Replacement theology is a horrible and evil doctrine.
Nobody can replace Israel. The Church will never be Israel.
God will not change His covenants.
There are 3 types of people in His view:
1. Gentiles (all unredeemed)
2. Israel (His People - Seed of Abraham)
3. The Church (New Creation of Israel and Gentiles - all redeemed: Galatians 6:15; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
This has absolutely nothing to do with the 10 Commandments, unless you are a SDA who will die on the 4th commandment hill every time while shuffling the others to the back of the line.
I think that is a very plausible scenario you paint there.
A lot of smart scholars think Gog may even refer to the leader of Turkey.
Russia and Turkey do have to team up some how though.

The scary thing about Erdogan is, he can rely on the support of every Muslim in Europe when he makes his move.
God loves a broken heart that is seeking Him.
Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness, Redemption, and Peace are poured out on those with that exact attitude.
He will follow through on it, if you ask. And once you do, nothing can separate you from Him. (Romans 8:31-39).
Maybe Putin will hang himself.
Or get a lethal case of the Kremlin Flu.

He’s probably one of the most charismatic speakers in the world also. Putin blinked when Turkey shot down their SU-24 back in 2015.
I’ve been saying it for years, this guy is going to be the worst one of all, even worse than Putin.
He’s been biding his time. Imagine if he can get the entire Islamic world behind him: Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia....
Agreed with Vespa300. If we claimed fulfillment of prophesy every time Russia got into a conflict, we’d never stop. They prophesies of Gog and Magog pertain to 1st century Israel. In that situation, the prophesy was actually fulfilled, and a fulfilled prophesy holds much more power than one that hasn’t yet to be been fulfilled 2000 years later. God was faithful to his promises, and so many are missing it. I’d be offended.
Those claiming the current events pertain to Gog and Magog will find themselves once again discredited, no disrespect intended to those who hold those beliefs. It’s just sad to see people trying to read the tea leaves and try to fit it into current-day events. Realize, the prophesies of the Bible were written to them in their age. It had to make sense to them, or they don’t make sense at all. We’re reading a newspaper from millenniums ago, the events in which we can corroborate, and then claiming it applies directly to today. Makes no sense.
Well before that war is triggered, the Church is gone. Because GOD does not operate in two dispensations at the same time. The Age of Grace has to end for the Age of the Law, the final seven years known as the time of Jacob’s trouble. (Yeah, I can hear those who hate the dispensation thing will go crazy. Don’t bother. I believe we do operate in them, and you don’t, so save your breath, you are not going to change my mind. I’ve heard this for 50 years.) So, after the Church is gone, then GOD will allow that period of time to come to this world. GOD Himself will destroy the enemy of Israel on the mountains of Israel. GOD will show the world that HE is in control of events and will protect Israel. GOD will show He is charge. For Him to deal with Israel again, we have to be gone. AND, I look forward to it. I don’t want to be here for what is coming. THIS is what He promised to those that believe in Him, trust Him, and love Him. Believe. That is all that is required. Ephesians 2, verses 8 and 9 make that quite clear. No works. No WORKS!!! NO WORKS!!! Get that clear. Just FAITH!!

ye be Christ...ye be Abraham. The kingdom of God has been taken from Israel and given to a new nation that will bear fruit.
We are ALL Israel now....spiritual Israel and that’s what Pretrib rapture folks will never get.
But you got to love Pretrib Rapturers.....I mean God lets John the Baptist lose his head, He lets Stephen to be stoned to death, he lets Jan Huss to burn alive, he lets his prophets to be killed, apostles killed, hey, he didn’t even come to rescue his own son on the cross....out of his time of trouble. He lets millions of Russians die of starvation Thanks to Stalin....millions of Chinese die under Mao, he lets all kinds of people in various nations and Christians be burned alive, and beheaded....
But the Pre Trib Rapture folks think they are so special....God is going to deliver them. What a weak fake theology for American Evangelicals to embrace......it’s for soft Christians who have never had any kind of real trial. And the sad part.....they won’t even know when the time of trouble is here....because they will be participating in persecuting those who obey God.....rather then men.....and that’s the Sabbath vs. Sunday. All roads lead to Rome. Even the forward to the KING JAMES VERSION Bible identified who she was.
