Does Pope Benedict XVI need to Consecrate Russia by Our Lady of Fatima's "Explicit Instruction”?

THE CATHOLIC MONITOR

Roaming Catholics - ROSARY POWER

On October 12/13/1960 another major intercession by Mary is believed to have possibly prevented the world from nuclear destruction.

Well, here is what happened. On the night between October 12 and 13, right after his shoe-pounding episode, Khrushchev suddenly pulled up stakes and enplaned in all haste for Moscow, cancelling all subsequent engagements, Why?

Marshall Nedelin, the best minds in Russia on nuclear energy and several government officials were present for the final testing of the missile that was going to be presented to Khrushchev. When countdown was completed, the missile, for some reason or other, did not leave the launch pad. After 15 or 20 minutes, Nedelin and all the others came out of the shelter. When they did, the missile exploded killing over 300 people. This set back Russia's nuclear program for 20 years, prevented all-out atomic warfare, the burying of the U.S.—and this happened on the night when the whole Catholic world was on its knees before the Blessed Sacrament, gathered at the feet of our Rosary Queen in Fatima. Our Lady does not want nuclear war. - Opus Angelorum website

Today, at William M. Briggs' website Statistician to the Stars!, Ianto Watt, the author of The Barbarian Bible: The True History of Man Since the Fall of Troy, claimed "The Consecration Of Russia Was Accepted":

Let’s get back to my real problem, which is this: what am I supposed to do with my prayers? My prayers for the Consecration of Russia. If I accept that it has been done, however badly, yet Heaven has ‘accepted it’, what does that mean for us? And again, what to do with those prayers I offer daily?

First of all, let’s figure out where we are. I think we are still on the battlefield, of course. And that the smoke is still thick, although patches of light appear here and there. And some scenes look better, while some still look grim, as there is still an ongoing struggle occurring. What does this mean?

I think it means that we are undergoing some chastisement, while also receiving some blessings. If the Abbot is right (and I think he must be), then we dodged the big bullet when the main Soviet naval arsenal at Severomorsk exploded, wiping out much of Severomorsk and nearly a thousand missiles and torpedoes. According to some sources, these arms were to have been used in a planned Soviet invasion of Europe in late 1984.

These plans had come to a head with the need to re-staff the leadership of the Soviet Pacific Fleet caused by a single air crash that killed all 16 Admirals and Generals in February of 1981 . The new blood in the Soviet High Command was known as the Young Turks, who, never having served in WWII, did not fear war. And they were furiously preparing for it when the fire that triggered this disaster at Severomorsk began on May 13th of 1984. The Feast Day of Fatima. Of course.

Yes, just a few months after Pope JPII had made his follow-on Consecration of Russia (which linked itself to the consecrations done by Pope Pius XII in 1942 and 1952). Yes, the same three ‘consecrations’ I (and so many others) have questioned as being ‘incorrectly done’.

Were we doubters wrong all along? And has the leadership of the Church been right all along? Let me answer that succinctly. No and no. And if it means that we are still stuck here on the battlefield, surrounded by the smoke and fog of continued strife, but that we have dodged the fatal bullet, then I’ll take it!

But again, what do I do with my prayers? Well, I have a thought. If the previous three (or more?) consecrations were all less than optimally done (but of some good effect), then perhaps I’ll continue to pray for another Consecration. After all, we may get some added benefit, and accelerate the promised blessings. Practice makes perfect!

What’s the bottom line? Simple, my brother. We’re all complicit in this mess. All of us. Let’s quit asking for Justice. For others, that is. Let’s start begging for Mercy. For those we have doubted. And then, we can ask it for ourselves. [https://wmbriggs.com/post/38718/]

In 2017, Cardinal Raymond Burke seemed to agree and disagree with Watt according to LifeSiteNews:

Read the full text of Cardinal Burke's historic call for the Consecration here.

He [Burke] expressed agreement with one of the foremost Fatima scholars, Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité, who said that the promised triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary undoubtedly refers firstly to “the victory of the Faith, which will put an end to the time of apostasy, and the great shortcomings of the Church’s pastors.”

Turning to the current situation in the Church in light of Our Lady of Fatima’s revelations, Burke said:

The teaching of the Faith in its integrity and with courage is the heart of the office of the Church’s pastors: the Roman Pontiff, the Bishops in communion with the See of Peter, and their principal co-workers, the priests. For that reason, the Third Secret is directed, with particular force, to those who exercise the pastoral office in the Church. Their failure to teach the faith, in fidelity to the Church’s constant teaching and practice, whether through a superficial, confused or even worldly approach, and their silence endangers mortally, in the deepest spiritual sense, the very souls for whom they have been consecrated to care spiritually. The poisonous fruits of the failure of the Church’s pastors is seen in a manner of worship, of teaching and of moral discipline which is not in accord with Divine Law.

The call for the consecration of Russia is for some controversial, but Cardinal Burke addressed the reasons for his appeal simply and straightforwardly. “The requested consecration is at once a recognition of the importance which Russia continues to have in God’s plan for peace and a sign of profound love for our brothers and sisters in Russia,” he said.

“Certainly, Pope Saint John Paul II consecrated the world, including Russia, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25, 1984,” said Cardinal Burke. “But, today, once again, we hear the call of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, in accord with her explicit instruction.” [https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/breaking-cardinal-burke-calls-for-consecration-of-russia-to-immaculate-hear/]

Here is The Catholic Monitor's May 13, 2020 report on this subject called "Is Socci saying Pope Benedict XVI needs to Consecrate Russia as Our Lady of Fatima Requested?":

The respected Catholic scholar Dr. Peter Kwasniewski in reviewing the Antonio Socci book "The Secret of Benedict XVI: Is he still Pope?" said:

"Socci['s]... careful analysis... above all, the interpretation [of] canon lawyers... argue that the resignation lacks several conditions for validity."

In the last page of the book, Socci's "careful analysis" of the lack of Benedict XVI's "resignation... validity" brings him to the conclusion that we must:

"United to Pope Benedict."

In Twitter on July 26, Socci wrote:

"Bergoglio... is dismantling the Catholic Church."

The world renowned Fatima expert Socci at the end of the book revealed that a little known "document" quotes Fatima Seer Jacinta Marto "speaking about":

"[T]he 'end of the world' if people 'do not do penance and change their lives.'" (The Secret of Benedict XVI, Page 152)

The book on page 155 says "at Fatima there was great insistence on RUSSIA, on CONSECRATION":

"[A]t Fatima there was great insistence on Russia, on consecration and conversion of Russia. [Fatima seer] Sister Lucia said, in the dialogue of 1957, that "Russia will be the instrument to punish the entire world..."

"Here, then, is the greatness of the design of Benedict XVI: in an insane historical moment."

Is Socci saying Pope Benedict needs to consecrate Russia?

The greatest exorcist of our time said Pope John Paul II wanted to consecrate Russia by name but did not do so as Our Lady of Fatima asked:

"Fr. Gabriele Amorth, who at the time was the chief exorcist of Rome [said]. 'I was there on March 25 [1984] in St. Peter's Square; I was in the front row, practically within touching distance of the Holy Father... John Paul II wanted to consecrate Russia, but his entourage did not...'"

"'... His Holiness consecrated the world on his knees, he added a sentence not included in the distributed version that instead said to consecrate 'especially those nations of which you yourself [Our Lady of Fatima] have asked for their consecration.' So, indirectly, this included Russia. However, a specific consecration has not yet been made.'" (Church Militant, "Pope John Paul II Wanted To Consecrate Russia by Name But Didn't," May 23, 2017)

This is my conjecture formed obviously on incomplete information on the mind of Socci, however I assume he knows the importance of the consecration and knows that Russia hasn't been consecrated by name. With these assumptions, it seems it could be possible that Socci may be implying that the "end of the world" may be near if the Pope doesn't consecrate Russia by name as John Paul II failed to do.

It is obvious who he thinks is the pope as he said in the last page of his book. He said that we Catholics must be:

"United to Pope Benedict."

Our Lady of Fatima asked for four specific things:

1. Stop sinning and do penance 2. Pray the rosary, particularly praying much for the Holy Father, the bishops and priests 3. Make the 5 first Saturdays in reparation for sins against the Immaculate Heart of Mary 4. The pope was to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate heart - a request that she specifically requested of Sr. Lucy at Tuy, Spain on June 13, 1929. (cultul: http://catholicmonitor.blogspot.com/2019/08/is-socci-implying-end-of-world-is-near.html)

Pray an Our Father now for the Our Lady of Fatima's requests to be fulfilled. Jacinta said we must do penance and change our lives. Offer the sacrifice of praying more and going to Mass more as well as fasting more at least in very small ways, without neglecting or interfering with your state in life, for the pope to consecrate Russia by name and for the restoration of the Mass and the Church.

Might be a good time for Benedict to admit his error and get back to work.

Dr. K’s original review of The Socci book actually went much further, until he chickened out, or perhaps was threatened: “I read this book expecting to be a little skeptical of an author who would argue that Benedict XVI did not validly resign the papacy. After all, it sure looked as if he intended to do that in his famous speech of abdication, and the world seems to have accepted it as such. Socci, however, persuaded me otherwise with his careful analysis of Benedict’s XVI’s various utterances on the subject (and there are a surprising number of them!), Archbishop Gaenswein’s speeches, and, above all, the interpretations of canon lawyers — none of them traditionalists, by the way — who have proved in detail that the resignation lacks several conditions for validity.“

The whole thing is explained here: https://nonvenipacem.com/2019/05/31/words-matter-calling-a-thing-x-when-it-is-really-y-and-then-equating-x-with-y-is-either-confused-or-dishonest/ [https://www.thecatholicmonitor.com/2020/05/is-socci-saying-pope-benedict-needs-to.html]

Lastly, some time back, on EWTN’s Fatima series, Fr. Andrew Apostoli said that the Rosary and Our Lady of Fatima saved the world from Russia’s hydrogen bomb rocket.

He said this historical event may have been represented in the Third Secret of Fatima as Our Lady stopping the angel from covering the world with flames.

The Opus Angelorum website wrote about what Fr. Apostoli was speaking on about how the rosary saved the world in 1960 from nuclear annihilation:

Most of us remember the time when Nikita Khrushchev visited the United Nations in October, 1960 and boasted that “they would bury us”—would annihilate us! And to emphasize his boasting, he took off his shoe and pounded the desk before the horrified world assembly.

This was no idle boast. Khrushchev knew his scientists had been working on a nuclear missile and had completed their work and planned on November 1960, the 43rd anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution, to present it to Khrushchev.

But here’s what happened. Pope John XXIII had opened and read the third Fatima secret given to Sister Lucy. He authorized the Bishop of Leiria (Fatima) to write to all the bishops of the world, inviting them to join with the pilgrims of Fatima on the night of October 12-13, 1960, in prayer and penance for Russia’s conversion and consequent world peace.

On the night of October 12-13, about a million pilgrims spent the night outdoors in the Cova da Iria at Fatima in prayer and penance before the Blessed Sacrament. They prayed and watched despite a penetrating rain which chilled them to the bone.

At the same time at least 300 dioceses throughout the world joined with them. Pope John XXIII sent a special blessing to all taking part in this unprecedented night of reparation.

This set back Russia’s nuclear program for 20 years, prevented all-out atomic warfare, the burying of the U.S.—and this happened on the night when the whole Catholic world was on its knees before the Blessed Sacrament, gathered at the feet of our Rosary Queen in Fatima. The Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary

I. THE POWER OF THE ROSARY

“If I had an army to say the Rosary,” Pope Pius IX once said, “I could conquer the world.” And he said this because the Rosary, next to the Mass, is the most powerful weapon in the Church’s arsenal.

Now most people are aware that the Christian Navy defeated a large Moslem fleet, against overwhelming odds, at Lepanto on October 7, 1571. And most people are aware that this victory was won because Pope Pius V organized a Rosary procession to pray for the success of the battle. However, most people are unaware of the many amazing victories won through the power of the Rosary in the Twentieth Century. And so it is fitting to study some of these miraculous and divine interventions because this will help us to strengthen our faith in Mary’s intercession and to deepen our trust in the power of her Rosary... [http://www.opusangelorum.org/Formation/Holyrosary.html]

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as the Triumph of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He wants you to do now and next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost - Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

Fr. Ratzinger is not a bishop anymore. He’s just a priest. He abandoned the Church and made Bergoglio Pope.

His error was compound.

First, he erred in thinking that, in attempting to resign the papacy, he actually resigned the papacy.

He did not.

Second, he erred in thinking the tincture of time would heal his mistake in failing to successfully resign the papacy.

It hasn’t.

He’s still Pope.

They were talking about this on Relevant Radio yesterday; one of the predictions was that it was too late to completely avoid the annihilation predicted at Fatima, but that it would be possible to mitigate it with sufficient sacrifices/rosaries/etc.

The benefits of the actual Pope so consecrating Russia, by name, and specifically, that is, exactly as requested by our Lady, are monumental...history-changing...society-transforming.

Benedict is tanned, rested, and ready.

Now. If the Holy Spirit were only to grab the dugout phone and make that call...

Ratzinger may or may not be pope. But he is certainly a bishop. Just like “once a priest, always a priest,” so it is with the episcopacy. For better or worse, once a bishop, always a bishop. It can’t be undone. Not by apostacy, not by sin, not by resignation, not by any means in the universe.

With the current war in the Ukraine, its obvious that the consecration of Russia by a pope, in union with all Catholic bishops, has never been performed.

I doubt neither Bergoglio nor Benedict will ever attempt to do so.
