Unilever distances itself from BDS, announces new deal to allow sale of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to Israelis in Judea and Samaria.
British consumer goods giant Unilever announced Wednesday the end of an anti-Israel ice cream boycott that drew heavy criticism, triggered sanctions by some US states, and even provoked a lawsuit.
Why would any Israeli buy their ice cream? Why support any corporation that hates you and wants you dead?
They’ll be dancing in the streets in Tel Aviv. /s

But the damned stuff remains outrageously over- priced.
I tried to go thru my memories over the years and I’m proud to say that I’ve never had Ben and Jerry’s EVER. Even during kid parties I would look at what brand the ice cream was because there were certain ice cream makers I really like.
Oh good. Now we can clog our veins and arteries with the high fat ice cream.
The Unilever press release announcing this includes an explicit denunciation of BDS, which will helpful both on the merits of BDS and on its equation of BDS with antisemitism, discrimination and intolerance:
Unilever rejects completely and repudiates unequivocally any form of discrimination or intolerance. Antisemitism has no place in any society. We have never expressed any support for the Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) movement and have no intention of changing that position.
Boycotts and sanctions on B&J should expand and continue until it is driven out of business -- as a warning to the others.

They used to call them Kapos. Jews make the world’s best bagels, chicken soup and are pretty good at ice cream as well. Don’t know why they would even want B & J’s.
I’m sure the Israelis could make a better ice cream if they tried.

Ben n Jerry will be mad... Would rather have the following over BnJ: UConn Dairy Bar, Penn State Dairy Bar, Culver’s, Shady Glen, any ice cream stand in Connecticut, DQ even McDonalds even...
