Or maybe God is letting the world know the “Catholic Church” is not the Church Jesus founded. God is allowing Catholics to question and perhaps find His true Church in these last days as Jesus’ second coming approaches. The Catholic Church does not follow the Bible nor Jesus’ teachings. Pope is never mentioned in the Bible, nor are many Catholic church teachings.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Please don’t take my post in an unkind way. I was raised Catholic but when I started studying the Bible (multiple translations) and saw the discrepancies between what I was taught in the Catholic Church and catycism and what God’s Word said I had to choose. Do I continue to follow the tradition I was raised in or follow God’s Word? I decided to follow God’s Word and was baptized into Christ, dying to my old sinful self and being raised into a new life in Him. I’m not perfect but any means, but continue to study the Bible, and strive to serve the Lord and His Church in ways that I hope honor Him.
