The Novena will begin on August 15th, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and will end on October 7th, the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary.
The intention for which we are praying together is: For the Strength and Unity of Our Church; and for the Protection of the Family and Our Nation. Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us!
We, the Church Militant on earth, are engaged in a spiritual battle of historic proportions! We continue to live in peace-less times in conflict with God’s laws and His natural law: denial of the humanity and human rights of the unborn; rebellion against God’s creation of man and woman; attacks on marriage and family; intolerance towards and persecution of biblically-based religious belief and practice.
In essence, we are living in a culture of death and of lies. To what are we as Christians called in response? The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “All are called to Holiness…The way of perfection passes by way of the Cross. There is no holiness without renunciation and spiritual battle.”
Join together in praying the 54 Day Rosary Novena for Our Nation!
This prayer campaign is also a Basic Training in Holiness. Each day, along with praying your rosary, holiness trainees will be provided with a 1-2 minute reflection on the qualities of excellence. The first 27 days, trainees will read from passages in scripture, quotes from saints and the catechism on one of the following: Theological Virtues, Cardinal Virtues, Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. The second 27 days will be excerpts from the book entitled, Church Militant Field Manual: Special Forces Training for the Life in Christ. The daily reflections for this prayer and training campaign can be found in multiple places.

We are asking everyone to join us in Union Square in front of U.S. Capitol for a very special Rosary Rally on October 11. We want to call out to God in a very special way at the conclusion of our 54 Day Rosary Novena. If you can join us, please do. I started praying the Novena for America on the first day. I was surprised when my husband called me at work to say he ordered a new rosary! He wasn’t a rosary praying guy, but that has changed! I think he is not the only one. The guy who wrote the article in the Atlantic doesn’t realize that he has awakened a sleeping giant!
