One of the proposals that emerged from the Synod for the Amazon was the creation of an Amazonian Rite, a reality present in the history of the Catholic Church. In fact, there are currently 24 Catholic rites in existence.
For the creation of this Catholic rite, under the umbrella of the Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon (CEAMA), a nucleus was created with 16 members, chosen according to different criteria of representativeness. The nucleus is divided into four sub-commissions: Anthropological-Sociological and Spiritual, Historical-Cultural, Theological-Ecclesiological and Ritual-Juridical.

The Amazonian Rite, like the 1970 GIRM, is likely to have numerous spots where the priest is allowed to use “words to that effect”, etc.
Perhaps we should have Amazonian Rite Masses where the words and rubrics “accidentally” match the Old Mass. As for the Latin? Well, the Amazon IS in LATIN America, duh.
It may be God’s will to use the outrages of the Francis papacy as a way to purge the Church of the modernists. At least, that’s my prayer.

The names of the sub-commissions make them sound more like academics with an interest in Catholicism than living saints judged worthy to guide the worship of nations. I don’t think Roche takes his job seriously enough.
Liturgy should not be fabricated by impious academics. The whole project stinks of hubris and irreverence.
