(LifeSiteNews) — German Archbishop Ludwig Schick has stated that rejecting other religions as a Catholic is a sign of “right-wing extremist tendencies” and that he sees these tendencies among “certain pro-life activists.”
Schick, who is the archbishop for the diocese of Bamberg, talked about the danger of “right-wing ideas” among members of the Church in an interview with domradio.de.
“Whoever is a Christian must stand up for freedom, for unity, for worldwide solidarity and worldwide charity, otherwise he does not deserve the name Christian,” Schick stated while condemning “right-wing ideas.”
“For example, I see right-wing extremist tendencies among certain pro-life activists,” Schick said. “When it comes to interreligious dialogue, there too are right-wing extremist tendencies that fundamentally reject other religions because they insist solely on their perceived Catholic position.”
Schick said that Catholics who hold to the teaching that the Catholic faith is the one true religion have “right-wing extremist tendencies,” which he clearly meant in a derogative way.
The German prelate appears to be at odds with Catholic teaching, as the Catholic Church has always held that it is the one true Church that Jesus Christ founded and that the Catholic faith is therefore the one true religion.
In his “Syllabus of Errors,” Bl. Pope Pius IX explicitly condemned the view that the Catholic Church could not proclaim itself to be the only true religion (cf. Syllabus of Errors 21).

You mean “Catholics” like Himmler who felt Islam was a better religion for soldiers?
All progressive Catholics are the same..They think Jesus is an idiot and they can do so much better leading the world..They feel He should be asking them how to be more compassionate and inclusive
I guess they’d really be put out by Jesus’ words on the matter.
John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”
How “intolerant” of God.
Germany is a VERY SICK country......and our Church is INFILTRATED with these HERETICS!
Amazing isn’t it? By the way, isn’t Biden a Catholic?
"Extremism in the defense of truth is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of heretics is no virtue."
I wonder: Why doesn't the good archbishop even only mention what tendencies he sees among pro-abortion activists?
Regards,
What Jews who hold such view, Cardinal? Jesus comes to mind, you freaking heretic.
Sorry, I should have typed Cardinal-Wannabe instead of Cardinal.
Some Krout is going to tell ME I’m an extremist?
I DON’T THINK SO.
Who pays attention to Krouts?? Including Mr. WEF, who is hateful just looking at him.
Wolf in sheep’s clothing.
They’re not “Holier than thou,” they’re “Holier than Jesus.”
“German Archbishop Ludwig Schick has stated that...”

And yet this guy is an Archbishop in the Catholic Church still. This along with the fact that the Magisterium and current Pope feel the same way as Schick, and anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see the writing on the wall about Catholicism....eventually the laity will have no choice but to go where the leadership goes.
The correct answer to your question is “NO!” He may call himself Catholic but he has excommunicated himself because of his pro-abortion belief.
On the contrary, we have been repeatedly told, by Catholics on this forum, that once a Catholic, always a Catholic. That Catholic baptism leaves an indelible mark on the soul (which is total nonsense.)
Biden is still a Catholic until the Roman Catholic church headquartered in the Vatican, officially ex-communicates him. Claiming he ex-communicated himself is the lazy way out for the “church”. It absolves them of any need or responsibility to take what they call the appropriate action themselves.
It makes their “official” doctrine meaningless when they will not enforce what they claim to believe.
What part of Christ the King does he not understand.
