I will not claim to be Catholic.. But, I was raised that way. A million years ago..
That said. for those far more knowledgeable than me.
My understanding is that the Catholic position was always, the ONLY way to heaven was to be a Believing and Practicing Catholic.
If I am reading this correct Francis is now essentially saying that “All religions are valid. And that there are many ways to attain heaven”?
Have I got that right? If that is the case, it is not a great sales pitch to get people to come to your side or stay on your side. If that is correct, Pope Yutz needs to go.
It’s probably better to say that now the “Holy Roman Catholic Church” has officially joined the rest of these hell-bound religions.
Although it’s been true for a long time, now it’s OFFICIAL!

We could use all the help we can get dealing with issues like this.
What has been revealed to us is that the way to Heaven is through the Catholic Church.
However, God is not bound by this.
God can allow anyone into Heaven that He wants, and it could be that He would allow people who were not Catholic on earth in and that that they will accept Catholicism before entering Heaven.... **to me** it is related to the baptism of desire, in that those who were not united to the Church on earth but who sincerely wanted to follow God would have converted had they known the truth.
On the other hand, God might not do this.
It is like Limbo, knowing what we know through revealed truth, this or that may be the case.
