"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
Have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in your salvation.

Oh, I’m sure about salvation.

But I do give a side-eye to random bloggers who say “The end is here for real - this time! But first, a word from our sponsor.”

Salvation is not based upon our feelings. Some will weep when they are saved. Some will not. Some will show outward emotion. Some will not.

If you go to Church looking for genuine emotion most of the time you are going to be disappointed. The Lord grants us wonderful gifts where sometimes we weep, are filled with joy or other wonderful emotions being in his presence. Sometimes he doesn't. This is a great gift of emotion we should hold dear and remember and when this gift comes back, if ever because there is no guarantee, we need to cherish it and do great things for The Lord when it comes.

Just remember how you felt when you were given these emotional gifts and how much more great they will be if we persevere and get to Heaven.

Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Tim 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Is comforting to know that nothing in life nor death can separate me from the love of God. I can't screw up bad enough for God to unadopt me. I can get chastised, but not unadopted.

And the reseaon is that "HE is able to keep that". Not me, it doesn't depend on me. It depends on God. The promise was claimed, and God will keep it.

"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

Philippians 2:12

Every Christian, everyday has to do this. It is the only way. It is zthe knowledge that convinces us of what the only begotten Son of God did for those of us have so loving a Savior. We must see the futility of redemption through good works and accept the perfection of the Savior's incomprehensible love and desire for our salvation. It's not anything we've done, it's Who He is.

“For how can those who abandon their faith be brought back to repent again? They were once in God’s light; they tasted heaven’s gift and received their share of the Holy Spirit; 5 they knew from experience that God’s word is good, and they had felt the powers of the coming age. 6 And then they abandoned their faith! It is impossible to bring them back to repent again, because they are again crucifying the Son of God and exposing him to public shame.” - Hebrews 6
