And while I can see some folks keeping gender out of it for spiritual reasons, most people are probably doing it to be “woke”. My former denomination started having more literature out calling God a female! (To balance against the historical patriarchy or something.)
All that said, I'll stick with the male terminology. If it was good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me.
Jesus said very clearly in the Bible that angels have no gender. They have no need of gender because they are created by God, not born among themselves through sexual procreation. But this leads to the next point of reason: does God need a gender? I don’t think so. So we refer to Him as “Him” because it’s a general term for a person. To call Him a “Her” is just incorrect and probably blasphemous.
Jesus called God his “Father” so you’re right...it is good enough for me! God Bless.
God is clearly not verbally “gender-neutral”, referring to Himself as male all throughout the Bible.
