Then again, look at Buffalo and its political landscape. Democrat and corrupt to the core for literally decades.
It was bad when I was a clueless teenager and didn’t care about politics but even I picked up on it then. It must have been far worse than I knew because I can remember it.
There’s a small but powerful cohort of folks who’ve lingered around the Catholic Church for a half century hoping that it would remake itself into Episcopal Church USA and finally “get with the times” on homosexuality, abortion, etc. That cohort freakin’ LOVES Bergoglio, as they think the Church is finally coming around to their way of thinking.
