We either accept all of Deuteronomy and start stoning people for homosexuality alongside men who cut their hair or we dont.
Jesus denied carrying out the law by preventing the stoning of a adulteress woman, claiming " let him who is without sin throw the first stone".
It has opened the gatway for all sinners to defend their sins with " You cant judge me, only God can, so take your bible elsewhere".
So, where does Christianity stand today? Can anyone speak out against sin without running into people who can quote one or 2 scriptures and throw your accusations out the window?
the answers. - Matthew 7:6, Matthew 10:16, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
When I am confronted by people who point to severe measures required in the Old Testament, I point them to the New Testament as being the clarification of all Scripture.
It is useless to explain the concept of context in understanding the Old Testament. Defenders of LGBTQ are not interested in context.
A lot of our current problems would not exist if pastors would be clear from the pulpit about what Scripture says about homosexuality. But they often skirt the issue so as to not offend.
