The anti Christ will appear as a great peacemaker. He will promise to protect people who are fearful in exchange for them surrendering their will to him. The control will be similar to communism.
Indeed that seems to be the old tired tactic of the enemy.
Create a problem and have a conniving solution handy for that problem that was created.
I believe the evil will come in Threes (the sacred number)
1. The Anti-Christ a worker of dark miracles and falsehoods
The son of Satan, beautiful but bent upon perversion.
2. The false Prophet, a crier that comes before the Evil One
An evil pope or religious leader who follows a pagan belief
3. The Great Whore of Babylon. An evil anti-Mary Beautiful and
Popular. Sexual and perverse to weaken morality for her
master The Anti-Christ in the New Babylon (some say it is
Las Vegas). She is the mother of all ills.

Indeed. He shall ‘confirm’ (somehow) 7 years of ‘Peace and Security’that officially divides Israel for ‘peace’
