Naturalism is of the worldview of pagan monism which is held in common by materialism, pantheism and spiritualism, and dates back to pagan antiquity and was or is taught by all non-biblical thought systems such as contemporary scientific materialism.
Greek Stoics (pantheists) and Epicureans (naturalists), for example, were monists and these two schools of natural science and evolution held the ancient world of thought in allegiance well into the Roman Empire. Revamped Epicureanism reigns supreme in our own age through modern evolutionary scientific materialism while its mystical evolutionary pantheist counterpart reigns through New Age Spirituality.

That must be why so much “science” just plain sucks! We have to hear about the amazing things of God’s creation from over-educated, godless fools. Casts a pall over the whole thing.

Why do we have sinuses?
How’s that perfection of man working? Chicago, San Francisco, LA, and others children that can’t read or write. Countries sending cruise bombs into private homes. The North Korean government killing those that don’t clap enough for the evolved leader. So many wars, you can’t count. As Almighty God is ignored, evil has grown.

An OUTSTANDING article in as much as I’ve scanned. It requires more time and attention than I have presently.
The constraints on science which enable it to know “truth” are:
It must be deterministic - every cause leads to an effect, every effect is the result of a cause.
It must be empirical - only that which can be observed is admitted to experimentation.
It must be naturalistic — no supernatural explanations.
It’s theories must be both provable and deniable - the experimental design for testing of hypotheses must include the ability to either prove or disprove the hypothesis.
These constraints have not caused science to “suck,” it has caused science to succeed in unimaginable ways. Instead of concluding that someone is sick by saying “God is punishing him,” science asks, “What caused that? A germ? Chemistry? psychology?”
The “Intelligent Design” hypothesis is not science. It correctly belongs in that category of knowledge termed, “Teleology,” the category of knowledge that “knows truth” because of revelation. This is because it cannot be tested by any means known to science.
A primary characteristic of teleology is “Purpose.”
Why is that car going down the road?
(1) Because gasoline is burning in the cylinders causing rotary motion which is transmitted to the wheels, which by reason of friction propel the car going down the road.
(2) That car is going down the road because that mother is taking her child to the doctor.
The hypothesis that the “Bible is the Word of God” is an example in which the credibility of the Bible can be denied, that is, utterly destroyed.
The reason is that scripture is historical. Of the great religions of the world, only in Christianity did the “icon” of that religion walk on the earth. There was an actual time and a real place where Jesus was born. Prove beyond a doubt that Jesus was born in, say, Paris and scripture is dead, dead, dead. Etc. As Paul intimated, “Prove Christ didn’t rise from the dead, and Christianity is history.”
Good post. I don’t want to deny true science and the discoveries which have blessed us all…regardless of who they come from. I guess I’ve run across too many atheists and they use “science” as a bludgeoning tool against believers.

This canon of nonsense is why naturalists must deny their own souls (source of personhood) and minds since neither can be observed, therefore admitted to experimentation.
So what have naturalists done to themselves? First of all, they cannot logically speak of 'themselves' since they must deny self (soul) and second, they really ought not be speaking at all since they (there it is again, that pesky personal pronoun when there is no self) have no minds to think with.
So what have they done to themselves but reduced themselves to walking dead bodies that mysteriously speak.
Ideas have consequences.
Exactly. Meaningless is the life of the naturalist/materialist who must logically deny his own soul and mind since they are of the unseen realm, therefore cannot be experimented on. Thus, he reduces himself to a cistern without living water, meaning he has reduced himself to a walking dead body that mysteriously speaks.
