While most Israelis were celebrating Independence Day by having family barbecues, a small group gathered in the Old City of Jerusalem and began chipping away at stones, preparing them to be used to build the prophesied Third Temple.
The event was organized by Rabbi Aryeh Lipo who envisioned it while on his way to the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky in March. Lipo ascends to the Temple Mount on a daily basis (when the Israeli police permit Jews to enter) but was deliberating with a friend which was more important: to attend the funeral of a tzaddik (righteous Jew) or to ascend to the Temple Mount.
To honor Rabbi Kanievsky, he and a friend were learning a halachic (Torah law) ruling written by Rabbi Kanievsky in which he stated that the stones for the Temple had to be cut by Jews with the intention of honoring God’s name.
“We have a mitzvah (Torah commandment) to build the Temple. This mitzvah is not conditional or time-bound. We have this requirement at all times. So it is a pity that we are not actively engaged in it. Right now, it is politically complicated for us to begin building on the Temple Mount but that does not exempt us from this mitzvah.”

If the stones weigh less than 200 tons, they aren’t serious.

The deadly wound that is healed and the mark of the beast are found in Revelation 13 where it indicates the beast (Antchrist) will “reign” for 42 months. This indicates that the false resurrection and beginning of his reign and worship by the world begins at the abomination of desolation.
In 1969, I heard an evangelist say that Jews were already gathering stones to rebuild the temple. It will happen, but until they lay the first stone, I won’t buy the hype.
The temple is in the top portion of the city of David. The temp1e mount was the Roman garrison. The temple was completely torn down. The temple mount institute is fully aware of this. Any guide can point this out to a visitor.

In 1969, was the church supporting gay marriage? Was there a world dictatorship forcing people to believe in climate change? Were children openly groomed and told they could change genders? Did the world leaders deliberately force farmers off their land and prevent them from farming which will lead to famine? Was AI invented yet and going to be used against the people, ( leading up to who is allowed to buy or sell?) Has the world ever seen the church so sick as we see her today? Don’t buy the hype if you don’t want to but don’t go to sleep either. Repent and encourage others to wake up and repent. No harm in that.

Yes the temple was in the City of David. The Temple Mount was Ft Antonia.

You are absolutely correct.
What you may not be aware of is that “The Day of the Lord” is a reference to the entire 7 year tribulation period, and arguably the millennial reign as well.
It is NOT “the” day that Jesus steals His bride from the enemy’s control.

Clearly, the one who finally achieves “world power” over all of the governments of the world is revealed BEFORE he breaks his 7 year treaty with Israel... at the very least WHEN HE ACKNOWLEDGES the treaty (marking the beginning of the 7 years tribulation)
You can go back even further though... it is a person who rises to world power THROUGH PEACE... and when that person does so, gaining POLITICAL power, prophecy says that he will suffer a LETHAL head wound, and will be miraculously healed from it. That comes even before the 7 years begins.

I have not found anything that indicates the Day of the Lord includes or is equivalent to Daniel’s seventieth week. The first half of this 7-year period is a false peace and events called the “beginning of sorrows”. In the middle, there is the abomination of desolation which indicates the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Nothing indicates that this time period will last until the end of Daniel’s seventieth week. In fact, Christ said it will be cut short for the sake of the elect. The Day of the Lord must follow the Great Tribulation.
Matthew 24:15, 21, 22
Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand) ... then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Paul connects the arrival of the Day of the Lord with the rapture of the believers AND the sudden destruction of unbelievers:
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3
For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
Compare 2 Peter 3:10 & 12.
There is another major problem with trying to equate the whole seventieth week of Daniel or even the second half of it with the Day of the Lord: Joel indicates specific signs in the heavens BEFORE the Day of the Lord. These identical signs also mark the END of the Great Tribulation.

The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
Matthew 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
The unique sign in the heavens found in Joel 2, Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and Revelation 6, must occur AFTER the Great Tribulation but BEFORE the Day of the Lord.

The revelation of the Antichrist is not a general identification or recognition of who perfectly fits this Biblical/prophetic identity. Rather, it is a prophetic event that must occur at a precise point in time determined by God.
Second Thessalonians juxtaposes the revelation of Christ in glory at the rapture with the revelation of the Antichrist at the abomination of desolation when he enters the temple of God and proclaims himself to be God. This event is in conjunction with the power of Satan to work deceptive miracles, of which the false resurrection is merely one.

Christ’s revelation is spoken of in 1:7. The revelation of the Antichrist is in 2:3 & 8. His revelation proceeds Christ’s revelation at the Day of the Lord rapture. And before the Antichrist can be revealed, the restrainer must no longer restrain.

Who is able to make war with him?’ And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
Note that the dragon is the Devil and has just been cast out of Heaven to the earth by none other than Michael the archangel in Revelation 12. He is angry because he has a “short time” which happens to be the final half of Daniel’s 70th week. In other words, the Devil is cast out of Heaven in the middle, precisely when the abomination of desolation must occur.
