Heavenly Father, We praise Your Holy Name. You are the Lord God Almighty, Ruler of Heaven and Earth.
Ours has become a sick and perverted nation, in need of the healing that only You can provide. Even some churches are in the forefront of abandoning Scriptural Truth.
As the celebration of America’s heritage nears on July 4, 2023, we are reminded of how far we have strayed from our nation’s God-given birthright and intent in 247 years. America became a free country on July 4, 1776; however, what many may not know - or forget - is that America is also a nation under God founded on Christian principles. 54 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Christians, 27 held theology degrees. Many went on to form Bible societies. (Christian Today.com)
You warn us in Your Word what will happen if we keep on forsaking Your Righteousness:
(Hebrews 10:26-31) For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
(Jeremiah 17:5) This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.”
We ask for Your Forgiveness and seek Your Mercy for our country, the United States of America . . . a nation that has lost its way and is guilty of blaspheming You, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
Please provide us the willingness and the direction to acknowledge, confess and replace unrighteous actions and leadership with righteousness not only in government and military but in our homes, churches, schools, businesses, healthcare, media and technology.
In these times of trials and turmoil, please help us be a reflection of You in our own personal testimony. Holy Spirit, please direct our assigned Divine Appointments giving us the boldness to share the Gospel. Please help those believing and trusting in Your Word to be steadfast in using Your Truth to witness to others of Your Love, Forgiveness and Saving Grace.
We ask for Your hope, peace, and physical assistance for those who have been ravaged and victimized by storms, droughts, unjust incarcerations, perversion, unhealthy relationships, alienation from loved ones, financial failures, illness and loss of loved ones.
Father God, we thank you for the Free Republic forum where we can freely express and share our love for You and offer prayers for our country and fellow Freepers. We pray for Jim and his family . . . for his continued healing and offer thanks to them for their dedication to the cause of freedom.
May You find us ever so faithful to bring glory and honor to Your Name, the Name above all Names.

Pray for the USA to See Revival
If people who are called by the name of the Lord will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, they will hear from heaven. He will forgive their sins and restore their land (2 Chronicles 7:14). We are never beyond the reach of a kind and sovereign God. When we realize that godliness makes a nation great and sin is a disgrace to all people (Proverbs 14:34), we can stop being so selfish and instead think of others more often than ourselves (Philippians 2:3-4). Kindness will lead us to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander so that we can forgive one another just as God through Christ has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:31-32).
Dear sovereign and great Lord, won’t you revive us again. Your people want to rejoice in You (Psalm 85:6). Help us to live a life of continual repentance so that we may live in Your presence. Revive Your people to call on Your name. Turn us toward You and away from our sin. Great Awakenings have miraculously happened in the past. Lord, bring us another one in our current day. Help us to be filled with awe of Your amazing works. Help us to be contrite and humble so You can restore us. Revive the courage of believers everywhere to share Your message of love. Bring the instruction of the Bible back into vogue. Create clean hearts that are washed by Your Living Water, Lord. Help us to step away from our filthiness and into the renewal of life with You for eternity.
The more we look toward the Lord and His ways, the more He will pour out His Spirit on people. His Spirit is for all who humbly ask Him for it. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Joel 2:28-32). The more revival spreads, the more we can love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and then go out and spread that love to our neighbors (see the greatest commandments in Matthew 22:37-39). This is the will of Christ our Lord.
Earnest prayer has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:16).
