In France, in these chaotic times, a group of Catholics are praying a Hail Mary on the street and a Muslim approaches with a stereo at full volume and stands next to them. One of those who are praying gets up and gives him a "laying on of hands" worthy of the greatest applause.

You could say that if someone is being purposely disrespectful to Our Lady and aggressive, it's appropriate to turn the other guy's cheek.

True, but the vast majority of so called Christians, have opted to use the tactic of “turning the other cheek” almost exclusively. And I think they use that admonition as a fig leaf to cover their cowardice and laziness.
