Last week, an 8-foot-tall, golden statue was unveiled atop a New York state courthouse in New York City. It stands alongside several other, older statues of classical design.
According to the artist, Shahzia Sikander, the statue is meant to be a representation of the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her support of abortion rights.
This is a statue of a demon. Not only that, it’s OBVIOUSLY a demon, horns and all. It’s like something terrifying from an archeological dig of a civilization that practiced human sacrifice. It is designed to unsettle & spread ugliness. It’s on top of a New York City court house.

The Medusa-like statue was put up shortly after an even more mockable homage to Martin Luther King Jr. was unveiled recently in Boston for MLK Day. What’s going on here?

Clearly, the artist was attempting to capture Ginsburg’s inner self, rather than a slavish, literal representation of her outer carapace.
Funny thing ...I recall some medieval artwork and stained glasswork in a church somewhere, with Moses having some kind of horns on his head.
Would THAT be considered demonic’ too?
IIRC, this statue is yet another version of ‘Lilith’, Adam’s first wife, according to the Talmud.
I recall seeing and hearing about that statue before.

That's exactly what it is. Using Ginsburg's name is just to shield it from criticism.
