On October 7, 2023, the Sabbath of the Joy of the Torah, the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust took place. It took place not in the Diaspora, but in the Jewish state, in the south of the country, in the areas bordering Gaza. In an independent, strong Jewish state founded to protect Jews from pogroms, there was a very real pogrom. Why did it happen?
October 7 was a holiday, and the soldiers and officers wanted to be at home with their families, not on military bases in the Israeli south. They wished to keif and enjoy themselves. Hedonism had taken hold of the Israeli youth. There were very few soldiers on the Gaza border. Military intelligence was apparently on vacation as well. It was obvious that Israelis were possessed by a sense of people of the West who do not understand the East and who live in the belief that the desire for peace and life and respect for family and community interests is also shared by Hamas militants.
Westerners cannot comprehend the cult of death and are unable to understand the importance and value of the "holy war," "Jihad," against the "infidels." The Israelis were blinded and by the inertia of Westerners perceived the conflict with the militants as a conflict with people who, like them, are all about life, building and development. They allowed themselves to relax and be undisciplined. Freedom turned to promiscuity.

Reverence for human life and respect for its sanctity are relatively recent developments whose history is measured in a few centuries, primarily products of Western civilized thought. And for “Western civilized thought” we can understand primarily European, Judeo-Christian, and yes, white. The rest of the world don’t think the same way because they don’t hold these values, and they never will.
I think “Western Thinkers,” (I count myself as one) do not, can not, fully understand people whose most fundamental thoughts, imperitives, and desires seriously conflict.
Much of it is due to the value placed on a Good Life, as we see it, and on Life at all as a prime imperitive.

Something to consider is that Israel brought this upon themselves by disarming their people. They should be like the Swiss — every household armed and every person trained.
If you are unwilling to live is such a household, leave Israel — you are baggage.

When Islam was turned back at Tours or Vienna, thwarted in conquering China, fought for centuries in India, none of that was by Western Democracy.

The entire nation of Israel was on high alert for the week before Yom Kippur, the week during Yom Kippur, and the week after Yom Kippur.
Hamas struck two weeks after Yom Kippur, on a weekend, when many exhausted security people were catching up on sleep or taking the weekend off.
Hamas crossed the Israeli border at seven points. At three points, they advanced a mile or less. Their deepest penetration was less than four miles, against their softest target - the music festival.
I have not seen Israeli death statistics exclusively for the land invasion. Many Israelis died during the sudden massive Hamas rocket assault.
It is possible that half the Israelis killed or taken hostage during the land invasion were unarmed youngsters at the music festival.
Finally, no one seems to be aware that the Hamas land invasion was conducted by 2,000 Suicide Soldiers.
The Israelis killed at least 1,500 of those soldiers.

If you work around terrorists, you gain an understanding of parts of their thought process. They are different than the Christian view in that Christians value life and many of them a trust and understanding of what their God has provided.
Islamists do not value life to include their own. They only value their God who also does not value life as he openly invites the Islamists to torture and kill non-believers where ever they hide. And they make that quite clear with their actions based upon qur’an teachings.
The problem is that the leaders in Christianity and the government of the US no longer wishes to engage the evil to change it or destroy it even when it attacks those who do not wish to be part of it and do are not aggressive toward it.

And yet many third world countries have stricter laws against abortion than the US does. Abortion is overwhelmingly a sacrament of white liberals.
