2 Cor. 10:5…What Kind of God Do You Believe In?
PatriotandLiberty ^ | 2023 | Linda Kimball

Today, large numbers of Christians and seculars believe that modern secular science has proven the earth and cosmos to be billions of years old, and that every living thing, from fish to dogs, apes and humans, evolved from a single cell which itself is the result of chance combination of chemicals. Most believe that primordial matter resulted from the Big Bang. Certain high profile evolutionary theists and the influential Evangelical theologians and scholars who support them, teach that God is both the energizing force behind the Big Bang and the director of evolutionary process.

Against this way of thinking, the Word of God authoritatively teaches a six day creation, which today is vastly unpopular with and downright offensive to scientifically enlightened theologians and their followers.

The rejection of the six day creation account is an aberration of modernism, meaning liberal (pantheist) Protestantism and its’ openly hostile antitheist (ie, Karl Marx) and atheist counterparts.

Science has no credible scenario for either the cause of the universe, nor for the cause of life. Evolution is a dreary little theory based purely on appearances. The very definition of superficial.

How long is a day in the mind of the Lord?

I've listened to lectures recently in which scientists state unequivocally that chemicals can't keep mixing to the point at which they produce DNA...even if such chemicals might be able to combine to create something that resembles a living cell.

Randomness simply cannot create something as profound as DNA because DNA is the ultimate in complexity and intricateness. But it is a requirement for cells that mutate into more advanced organisms.

A group of monkeys with keyboards and computers running MSExcel might be able to eventually start randomly typing out simple equations (without understanding them), but there's no way that same bunch of monkeys could start creating mathematical models of the America economy or a Mars mission (and DNA is infinitely more complicated than that).

As James Tour, a nanotechnologist/chemist and professor at Rice Univ., says, "At the most basic level, chemicals and chemical compounds have no motive to evolve into something more complex. Ultimately, a basic lifeform has to want to keep developing into more complex organisms and that motive doesn't exist."

As an aside, James Tour is also now a Messianic Jew.

Right. I think arguing over whether or not the Genesis account is metaphorical or literal is downright silly and doesn't affect theology one way or another.

My opinion is that people who think God would simplify the most complex event in the history of the universe into one tiny book that is meant to be taken literally are being small-minded.

God could have created everything with the snap of his fingers or he could have taken his time. But considering that God is outside of space-time, the concept of "time" has no relevance to the discussion. Ergo, any use of the concept of "time" in Genesis is put there so humans, trapped in time as they are, can grasp the rudiments of creation.

God is Love. God created the universe and humanity out of His love for us.

We can accept His love and return our love for Him by our prayers and actions in following Him to eternal life in Heaven.

Or we can reject His love by our actions and spend eternal life without Him.

There are many mysteries of God that we will not fully understand until He lets us know.

Yep. The theory of evolution as an explanation for life as we now know it has been pretty much debunked.

There is no trace evidence of it...too many gaps in the record.

“Against this way of thinking, the Word of God authoritatively teaches a six day creation...”

It teaches a six day re-creation or renovation. The Earth was not listed as created during that six day period, nor water. Those were already here. The land and the water were moved around. Only life forms were created.

Either you believe the Genesis account of creation or you don’t. The One True God of the Bible can create anything from nothing. The so called carbon dating is God’s way of confounding those who worship the god of their own making. 2 Cor. 5:7. Come to God by faith in Jesus and His word, period.

Not first.

Colossians 1:16 - 20. Everything was created BY HIM, THROUGH HIM, AND FOR HIM. “Him” being the Lord Jesus Christ.

His love for man was in the picture, but not the main motive. Man was created for the Lord Jesus, to honor and glorify, and ENJOY Him forever.

We were at the Grand Canyon this week. There’s actually a display that talks about the “missing 1.2 million years” geologists can’t explain. Yet there are brass discs in the pavement that say “1.03 billion years ago.”

Human beings are naturally stupid, biased, and dishonest.

Except for you and me of course.;-)

Science has no credible scenario for either the cause of the universe, nor for the cause of life. Evolution is a dreary little theory based purely on appearances. The very definition of superficial.

And yet that is what is considered truth for the Bible to be compared to and found wanting.

What I have found interesting is that for all its use of simplistic terms, Scripture is still very accurate *scientifically*.

It explains creation in an economy of words that is unparalleled and does so in terms that almost anyone in any culture with any level of education can understand and accept.

The main criticism always gets down to the fact that things aren't expressed in the way the critic thinks they should have been to be *scientifically* accurate.

An example of this is the use of the words *sunrise* and *sunset*. Sure we know that the earth isn't stationary and the sun does not circle the earth, but even scientists use those terms. Likewise for other terms found in books like Job.

Wrong. I’m a believer in the evidence before me, and I harbor no animosity toward the people who strictly believe in the text of the Bible’s account. However, I do take offense at this writer’s charge that I am evil because I don’t agree with him.

The big bang theory says “Let there be light”. What caused the big bang? Time was created as matter was created. How long was seven days? What’s not to believe?

Agreed. Trying to know God is above my pay grade.

I think Dennis Praeger quoted someone as saying, “If I knew God, I would be God.”

Jehovah himself says there are many gods....and some are not benign, like the god Allah, for example. Some demand human sacrifice. Each god has his own realm within the multiverse.

Some are god realms, some are ghost realms, animal realms and some are hell realms We live in a human realm where we are able to hear the word of Jehova as well as the word of other gods. We have free will as human beings to make choices, and basic unconditioned goodness often marred by attachment to materialism, passion, agression and ignorance. But with the help of a benign god such as Jegovah, we can overcome our own obstacles and confusion to become genuine human beings while olthers remained stranded in suffering in their own hell realm ( driven by anger and agression), animal realm ( driven by biological urges such as lust etc) or realm of hungray ghosts ( Addiction, gluttony etc). This is why Jehova gave the 10 commandments to his people.

Allah is not a benign god, he drives his adherants via passion, agression and ignorance. His followers are forced to sumbit to that dynamic and are capable of vile inhumane acts. Islam as a word means to submit. Muslims do not have free will. And so they are incapableof understanding, following or defending the Constitution of the United States. They should not be here.

As far as the univesrse is concerned, it runs itself as a vast cosmic machine, balanced and creating and destroying at the same time.It is timeless. It is not marked by time because its existence is perpetual, unceasing.

And so one might say who is Jehova? He is the god of the Jewish People, who has become a protector of human beings as an assemblage of goodness. He is slow in his wrath, but once unleashed, there is all pervasive victory. Remember, the Jews have been worshipping Jehova or YHWH for three thojusand years continuiously, in the same language. They are the only people on earth to have accomplished this.Respect them and support them. Attack them at personal peril. The wrath of Jehovah has been awakened. All former bets are off.

Jehovah now is a flame leading the soldiers of Israel, just as of old with the 13 tribes.

The modern authoritarian code for saying “I hate you” is to say “You hate me”.

There. Now your hands are clean.
