The Church will never fall: it will be here until the Second Coming; we have Christ's promise on this. The Church has survived numerous bad Popes, and it will survive this one. Many in the last 2000 years have announced the death of the Church but they are all dead now and the Church is still here, more than a billion strong. It'll take more than one misguided and mean-spirited old man to take her down.
