“It’s pretty obvious that Freemasons are not Christians at all.”

And that is a product of people who have no idea who or what freemasons are or think. The major reason the catholic church disagrees with freemanson doctrine is that it doesn’t bow down to their church as we welcomes all religions that have a God.

Freemasonry has always been religious in character, though it subscribes to no particular orthodoxy. To become a Freemason, the applicant has to be an adult male and must believe in the existence of a supreme being and in the immortality of the soul. The teachings of Freemasonry enjoin morality, charity, and obedience to the law of the land.

It is not, however, a Christian institution, though it is often taken to be such. In fact, Freemasonry has received considerable opposition from organized religion, the Roman Catholic Church in particular.

In practice, some lodges have been accused of religious prejudices, specifically against Jews and Catholics. Our earlier freemsons built a lot of the churches the catholics use and are proud of and approximately 50K masons were executed by Hitler just because we supported the Jews during WW II.

They have also been accused of anticlericalism in Latin American countries. In Anglo-American countries the membership consists of mostly white Protestants; some lodges have been accused of prejudice against nonwhites. If that’s the case, then why do we have such an intermingling of races and colors in our lodges? They don’t tell you that part.

This article’s thinking couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only do we have an intermingling of different races, religions, and countries but we even have, by the wishes of that race, a black group called Prince Hall which also has different races in it than just the black race.

Together, we represent 22 hospitals in 3 countries and we do approximately $3.6 billion a day of charity not counting the blue lodges and state jurisdictions.

So who are we? We are givers, not takers. And we give to everyone we can. Everyday. Takes a lot of effort to do what we do. But we get our help from God and the love of our brethren for the people that need the help. And it takes a lot of both to spend that amount of money and try to relieve that amount of pain everyday.

OH BOY! Another Free Republic wedge issue! UKR-RUS wasn’t enough I guess. Or maybe after Desantis dropped out of the POTUS race we fell below our quota of wedge issues? LOL

For the record, I agree with y’all (and Msgr. Charles Pope, a Catholic Christian leader whom I greatly respect) that Freemasonry is an unwise spiritual adventure for a man to undertake. But I don’t intend to participate in duking it out here.

“Worship only God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.”

“the newbies are brought in believing that the organization is just a social group focused on positive things in the community, and only learn of the darker things as they achieve higher and higher rankings.”

My father was a Mason for about 30 years and was of a relatively high “rank”. He would not affiliate with an organization that involved “darker things”. So, since you seem to have some inner knowledge, when do they, and at what “rank”, learn of the darker things?

“The major reason the catholic church disagrees with freemanson doctrine is that it doesn’t bow down to their church “

Evangelical churches also disagree with Freemasons. Demonic.

“Did you ever find out who was at the top level which few reach?”

We don’t advertise who we are and how high in the degrees we go. It’s not about us. We’re too busy trying to get the relief of people who need our help. Takes all our time.

Of course I would say what, exactly?

‘Demonphile’????

I don’t believe in ‘demons’, and never met a Mason who did, either.

One of the things about the Masonic system that seems very valuable is that the instruction leads to a logical and ethical way of thinking.

(I personally hold that belief in stuff like ‘demons’ is backward and superstitious; but I guess people are free to hogtie themselves with whatever beliefs they choose.)

“How you managed that I don’t know.”

We created our own ladies group call Order of the Eastern Star. It’s been around for more than 150 years. And they are led by charity and relief of others, also. And we also have the younger groups like Demolay for the young guys and both Rainbow Girls and Job’s Daughters for the young ladies. But to be one, you’ve got to ask one.

“I would be more concerned about the Shriners.”

Shriners are masons and are charged with funding 22 hospitals in 3 countries for children. You need to watch them? They’re worth the observation.

“...worshipping / glorifying the morning star...”

That star you describe is the star of Bethlehem. That was the one that was shining over the manger at the birthplace of Christ.

My objection to your post is that it’s typical of lots of political propaganda: claim that you don’t have an opinion, but in the process of claiming so, bring up damning allusions, like scientology.

I merely suggested that you find out about Masonry instead of just speculating about it.

>> ‘Demonphile’????

Technically, I wrote demon-O-phile. My comment was more smartaleck than serious. ;-)

>> I don’t believe in ‘demons’.

I do!

>> I personally hold that belief in stuff like ‘demons’ is backward and superstitious

I believe in the Word of GOD, including Hebrews 11:3 — “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”

The unseen realm is not subordinate to the physical world — it’s superior in power and importance to the physical world.

>> ...but I guess people are free to hogtie themselves with whatever beliefs they choose.

Thanks! I will continue to be a bondservant of Jesus CHRIST.

By the way, today folks are choosing to hogtie themselves to all kinds of crazy stuff — genderfluidity being just ONE of those things. The more you examine transgender-mania and other aspects of transhumanism, the more you begin to realize that it has a big, dark metaphysical (spiritual) component... and let me tell you, that spirit is NOT the Holy Spirit!

But these nutty, evil days have a silver lining: relatively speaking, we Spirit-led Christians with our belief in the power and authority of Christ don’t seem quite so crazy anymore!

FRegards and Blessings

I’m not sure what you’re saying. The “I’ve seen books” was a quote from another poster in his comment. And who is the “our” in your comment? Who are you talking about?

I was on board with that article, until I read the part about calling upon one demonic entity to provide deliverance from another.

[
I ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to receive now the entire and full right of disposing of these goods according to God’s holy will. May she cast out any and all evil spirits, sanctify our goods, protect them from any future evil action, and use them for the glory of God.

In my lodge and chapter, it’s awful hard to be demonic with the King James Bible sitting and open on our alters with a lot of our tradition coming right out of them.

You calls us demonic, what do we do that is demonic? And factually the definition of what satanism is wasn’t written until 1969 by Anton McVey. And I know of no satonic ritual books on any alters in our lodges. Know some?
