Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem
Oh LORD,
Our God,
How Excellent is Your Name over all the Earth!
How Marvelous,
How Glorious,
and How Magnificent!
It is You Who created the Earth and All it Contains,
The Nations are like dust on the scales.
Indeed, the Entire Universe is Your Creation!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Ruthie had six sets of dishes. There were two sets for everyday use (Milk or Meat), two sets of nice china for holidays, and two sets that only came out once a year for Passover. These were Kosher For Passover, and had never been touched by one speck of yeast or leaven in their whole existence. They were kept in a special chest in the basement and only brought upstairs ONCE a year, for Passover. They were "set apart" for this special occasion.
Just when you think that we are done with this short verse from Isaiah, we have two more Names to consider. Today we will look at "The Holy One of Israel".
That's appropriate, as we are in the Monday of "Holy Week" as practiced on the Western Calendar. Eastern Orthodox People calculate Holy Week a little differently, so sometimes the weeks don't match up. Passover is also a "Holy Week" and is celebrated by Jewish People all over the World on the same week. but it doesn't always match up with either the Western or Eastern Branches of Christianity. I take a personal delight when they all match up, which happens every several years. It all has to do with the Orbits of the Earth and the Moon, the Spring Equinox, and the different calendars in use by the different groups. So, the week isn't "holy" because of it's position on the calendar. It is holy because of what it commemorates. Both Weeks are Holy as they remember Great Miracles of Redemption. We all need redemption from a Holy God precisely because we ourselves are NOT holy.
Passover commemorates the freeing of hundreds of thousands of Israelites who were slaves in Egypt. They weren't rescued because they themselves were holy. They were redeemed by a Holy God, who rescued them out of His Compassion, Mercy, and Grace. This "lack of holiness" on the part of Israel was demonstrated before the People even made it to the Red Sea. The complaining started up before the People had gotten out of Egypt. All through the Torah, we hear Moses pleading with God. "What am I going to do with these people?".
Lest anybody sneer at anyone else's lack of holiness, just look at all the controversies, arguments, and rancor between different denominations and branches of Christianity.
Yet, St Paul refers to Christians as a Holy Nation. Paul doesn't say this to mean we are "Holier than Thou". He means that Believers are "set apart", much like those Passover Dishes in the Basement. Only God is Holy, meaning Totally Righteous, Sacred, and Pure.
He is Holy because He IS. We are made holy because of HIM. Big Difference!
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
He Will Come To Us Like the Spring Rain That Waters The Earth. (Lamentations 3)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 115
1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness.
2 Why should the nations say,
‘Where is their God?’
3 Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases.
4 Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
5 They have mouths, but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6 They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7 They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
they make no sound in their throats.
8 Those who make them are like them;
so are all who trust in them.
9 O Israel, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
11 You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord has been mindful of us; he will bless us;
he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 he will bless those who fear the Lord,
both small and great.
14 May the Lord give you increase,
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
16 The heavens are the Lord’s heavens,
but the earth he has given to human beings.
17 The dead do not praise the Lord,
nor do any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord
from this time on and for evermore.
Praise the Lord!
